How did she not realize this before she was introduced? Catherine Diggory was the spitting image of her son.

Her light brunette hair and stunning grey eyes, the kind that only remained grey during the winter months, were all a clear reflection of Cedric.

She was quite tall, but not the kind of height that sticks out like a sore thumb, and her smile fell crooked when she appeared genuinely happy.

"He's good! He was chosen as the Hogwarts champion!" Catherine cheered, seeming as if she'd jump high enough to touch the ceiling.

Willow couldn't believe her own ears, even thinking of pinching herself and pretending this was all a dream.

In what world would her mother be friends with Cedric's mother? Was her mother different during her stay at Hogwarts or was Mrs. Diggory? When did Mr. Diggory come into play?

"Isn't that something extraordinary! If he's anything like you then I'll start making shirts when he gets crowned for his victory." The two women laughed loudly, filling the store with their volume.

"He's not as competitive as I was but I definitely play a part in his genes." Mrs. Diggory responded, still holding her belly in from the laughter.

At least she thinks I'm pretty, Willow thought. That's step one. She wasn't expecting to meet the parents in this exact way, either.

Catherine seemed kind and gentle like she made a killer apple pie and sent Cedric chocolates every few days. No wonder the boy was so kind.

"Catherine was quite the quidditch player, I can still recall all the times she bet your father." Flashbacks crossed their minds of him throwing his broom stubbornly as they laughed.

"He couldn't stand being beaten by a Gryffindor." She was a Gryffindor, not something Willow expected. Her father getting mad at her explained partly why Draco hated Gryffindor's so much. Kind of.

"Anyways," Catherine began to catch her breath, allowing the chuckles to fade out. "He's in his sixth year now and he's incredibly smart. We couldn't be more proud of him."

It felt as if a frog had crawled into Willow's throat as she brought up Cedric again, she could feel the chills on her arms form once again.

"Oh! Willow's in her sixth year also, do you know Cedric?" Her mother hummed, placing an arm on her shoulder.

Willow still couldn't believe it, she didn't understand why she was put in this scenario and who put her here but she wanted out.
