Willow Malfoy ran after her younger brother as he attempted to disappear into the cold night. Another person she had upset, nothing new.

Guilt dripped in her words as she called out his name repeatedly, wishing he would turn around.

Even if she knew what to say, it wouldn't be enough. She wasn't sure if anything would ever be enough again.

"Draco, please. Please, stop." She grasped for air as she began to slow down, unable to keep running. The adrenaline had finally lost control as she attempted her best not to lean over, feeling as if she'd throw up any second.

Draco's actions mirrored her's as he finally turned around, breathing loudly, his eyes watching the white smoke leave his mouth.

The winter nights were something he'd never get used to, even if the Malfoy Manor was always in the negatives.

He couldn't believe his sister and her actions, he wasn't even sure he recognized the woman she was becoming.

As he stared at her, only seeing the parts of her that the moon illuminated, she knew that look more than anything.

The look of betrayal, the sense of not wanting to recognize the person in front of you, his eyes spoke everything he wasn't saying. It killed her.

The loving older sister he had always known, the one who always expected him to tell her his secrets about his life, now she couldn't bother to do the same.

It's not like they knew every detail of everything that happened at school, but they definitely would catch one another up on significant information. If Draco were to ever fall in love with someone and find himself kissing her outside the Yule Ball, Willow would've already known.

She would've known everything, Draco wouldn't be able to bear lying straight to her face and pretending he wasn't, that is something he could never do to his own blood. His own sister.

"Stop following me, Willow." He managed to mutter out, still not finding the middle ground for his breath. He couldn't look at her anymore and not feel pain, he was starting to feel more than ever before.

"Please, let me explain myself." She responded. Her hair was no longer perfectly put together and the bottom of her dress was wet from the night dew of the grass, it didn't matter.

"Why would I let you do that? Why would I care? Do you want to lie some more, sister? Hm?" His words dripped with venom as he looked at her again, there was a wrinkle between his eyebrows that was more present than ever.
