After the big commotion that was in the Great Hall and announcing the Triwizard Tournament, the students began to phase out.
Routine returned to normal the following week, seeing the other students as they walked around and socialized was the only exception.
Everyone was extremely nice, for the most part, and most girls were happy they had new eye candy to giggle and blush at.
Willow had two different Durmstrang boys come up to her to start a conversation, which led to them asking her to show them around the castle.
She respectfully declined such an offer with a sweet smile and pointed to another sixth-year girl who she knew would be happy to do so.
That Friday went as usual, ending the week with ignoring Cedric Diggory and tons of schoolwork to finish over the weekend.
Willow headed to her room as classes ended, ready to sit and rot in her bed as she began her schoolwork. Part of her was looking forward to it, she seemed to be ready to turn off the world for a while.
As she headed back to her common room, swiftly headed towards the dungeons while she offered a few smiles to the other school students and fellow Slytherins.
She found it odd when Lee Jordan smiled at her, not a usual interaction between the two but she gave him a thin smile in return.
Before she could change into her comfortable clothes, her usual hoodie and sweatpants, she noticed an item placed neatly on her bed.
As her legs carried her closer she noticed it was a bouquet of black roses, no note or trance of another human being attached.
She picked up the flowers and tranced them along her fingers, admiring the uniqueness of them.
Willow couldn't think of a single person who would've left them besides Maeve or Anita, but they would've already mentioned it to her.
Especially Anita, the poor girl couldn't keep a secret even if it saved her life. Her mind tranced lists of names of the possible suspects, only thinking of one person.
There was no way Cedric Diggory would've done this or been caught dead in the Slytherin common room. He seemed to be the only one.
She pulled a vase out of her basket under the bed and placed the roses into it before going to the bathroom to fill it up.
They were gorgeous, she had to admit, but the mystery remained in her mind. She knew it would consume her over her work, which upset her.
