As the weeks began to roll along, Willow had decided late in her bed one night that she would stop showing up early, she would be the first to leave, and she'd avoid all opportunities for Cedric Diggory to come up to her.
She had already gotten too involved with any sort of unwanted feelings and she couldn't afford any slips up. If she wanted to leave the Malfoy Manor, she needed to be top of her class at all times.
Besides, she was sure Cedric's time was full of hanging out with Cho Chang. Surely, he wouldn't have time for the both of them.
Instead of having a lovely day wandering around the castle with her friends, she promised to dedicate her time to helping second-years find new ways around the castle.
Dumbledore, although he knew her family's history, he never held anything against her. She was incredibly thankful for such since everyone else had something to say.
As Willow passed the courtyard after she looked at a clock, she spotted a familiar blonde boy. She knew she didn't have much time to spare, but that didn't matter the second she saw him raising his wand at a younger student.
"Draco!" His name came out loudly and aggressively, causing him to whip his head around. Willow came flying towards the younger Malfoy, ready to speak her mind.
The younger boy, maybe a third year, looked mortified. His legs were physically shaking and it seemed like every hair on his head was standing up.
"What in Merlin's name are you doing?" She barked, placing her hand over his wand to knock it down. She knew she was one of the few that could stop Draco in his tracks.
"He w-was trashing the M-Malfoy name-" Draco stuttered, looking startled as ever at his older sister. With the way his eyebrow twitched, she knew he was lying.
"This innocent boy? And what were you going to do, Draco?" Although similar in height now, she still held her ground and could never be intimidated by him.
Willow walked over to the other boy, bending down to straighten his tie and brushing a leaf off his shoulder. "Run off, darling. Don't talk to him, he's no good."
Willow offered the boy a sweet smile, watching as he returned it and ran off to his friends. She wasn't sure what would happen if she hadn't stopped him.
"He's the one who started it!" Draco whined like a child, slipping his wand back into his pocket.
"You look like a bloody idiot, Draco. You can't defend yourself from a harmless boy by just using your words? You have to use magic, hm?"
