Chapter 40.

After Zhan had left his room to attend his work, Yibo just laid back in his bed and cried for a while before he went back to sleep.

While Zhan locked him in the room and sighed, this isn't how he wants the things to go!

"Fuck!" Zhan muttered under his breathe, before he sat down on the sofa, his phone rang and he saw that it was Sarah, he answered the call and Sarah spoke, "did you find him?"

"Yes, I did."'

"Is he okay?" Sarah asked.

"Yes, he has fever but I have already given him medicine." Zhan spoke, he remembered how weak and vulnerable Yibo looked and Zhan hated seeing him that sick, when Zhan saw him lying unconscious on the bed, he didn't knew why he felt so anxious and even checked his pulse, he suddenly got flashbacks from the past when Zane was lying on the bed in a similar manner, just that he was dead.

Zhan had never felt that anxious or scared before, despite knowing that Yibo was going to be okay and he would not die, the sight still triggered, he had no idea that even after all these years, he can still get triggered.

"That's good, is he with you?"

"Yeah... I am going to keep him here for some time as it seems he is not in his right state of mind."

"Of course he isn't, who will be after going through so many things."

Why don't you talk to him about finding a job? I asked him and even offered him to come back but he refused"

"I what he needs is a break, and he is not going to come back to you Zhan, you are not the only one with pride and ego, he also has immense pride and ego. I have offered him countless time to come my company which once belonged to his father as well, I will help him to rise up but he refuses to even step in there."

"What? How is your company related to Yibo?"

Sarah spoke, "oh you never knew? My father and Yibo's father were best buddies and later turned to business partners, however my father tricked Yibo's father and threw him out of the company, my father completely ruined Yibo's father and made sure that he has nothing left.

Oh, wow that was a trash move, and all of that for what? For greed? He didn't even think about Yuki and Yibo?"

"While what my father did was wrong but he has his reason."

"Like what?"

"Yibo's father slept with my mother, they both cheated on my father. So Yibo's mother knew that but hid it from my father, and that's why he flew into rage and did what he did, while I don't think that the children should have suffered but that's how world works, children always suffer because of parent's mistakes."

"Oh." Zhan spoke, that was quite understandable, as someone who was betrayed and neglected he quiet understood, the condition of Sarah's father.

He sighed, and Sarah added, "by the way I have gathered all the proofs against Zach and already sent them to you, you check them and proceed with the lawsuit, I will testify in court."

"Thanks Sarah, I never thought that you would be the one to help me."

"I have done my own investigation and something is fishy, besides Yibo cared a lot about you, also Zhan your family really tried to damage your reputation by spreading lies about you. Especially Zach. No one knows that Zane had committed suicide, most people think that he was sick and you always created trouble for him."

Zhan smirked, "I see, thanks Sarah, you are a good person. Also... there is one thing I want to ask..."

"Yeah, what is it?"

"Um... how do you take care of a depressed person who is hell bent on self-destruction?"

Sarah was silent before she replied, "first take therapy yourself and then put the other in therapy as well."

"Fine, bye."

"No Zhan seriously, if you want to take care of himself don't you think you need you need to work on yourself as well? Might as well start with communication? You know talking about your feelings and all..."

"Bye, Sarah it was nice talking to you." he said before he disconnected the call, he then looked at the things and documents that Sarah had sent him, and saved them before forwarding them to Haoxuan and asked him to talk to the lawyer.

After everything he was done, he sighed and leaned back on his seat.

Suddenly he heard the doorbell rang and when he opened the door Luhan ran in, "I am back dad."

Zhan smiled as he took his school bag and kept it on the sofa, "go wash your hands, and then eat something. Then tell me what you did in school."

"Yes!"

Yibo gently sat down on his bed, he felt so much better now, however he felt sticky and desperately wanted a shower because he smelled like medicine and after yesterday's fight he was covered in mud.

He suddenly got up from the bed and walked towards the door which was locked, he felt annoyed, he tried to open the door but it was of no use.

He looked back and water, medicine, some snacks, towel as well as clothes.

After a hot shower Yibo felt fresh, and after eating some snacks and taking water and medicine, he felt much better and felt like he had enough energy to argue.

So he stood up and was about to go and bang on the door when it suddenly opened and instead of Zhan, it was Luhan who ran in, "uncle!"

He ran to Yibo, who was surprised to see him but he was happy as well, as he picked him up and hugged him tightly, "hi darling."

Luhan hugged him back, "I missed you too uncle." Yibo finally smiled and that's when eh glanced at Zhan, who came to the room with food.

"Luhan tell you uncle to eat something."

"Uncle, come let's eat something." Luhan said and Yibo just smiled at him, he didn't want to show any negative emotions in front of Luhan. So, he just smiled and nodded.

"Let's eat." Yibo said as he sat on the bed and Zhan gave him his food, "Luhan why don't you show him whatever you wanted him to see?"

Luhan smiled as he ran to his room to get his drawings and toys, and once he was gone Yibo glared at Zhan, "if you are using him-"

"I am not using him, he wanted to see you and he missed you; I am not going to cut you off from his life, you are his family you have the right to see him. Besides I think it is good for Luhan to be surrounded by adults who love and care for him, I want him to grow being loved and pampered.

"He will be spoiled at this."

"After seeing my brother Zach, I will make sure that Luhan is not over pampered or spoiled."

Yibo looked at him and Zhan slowly sat at the edge of the bed, it seemed like he wanted to say something, but before he could open his mouth, Luhan ran in the room with his toys and drawings and Zhan didn't speak after that.

Damn it was so easy to make a mess and so hard to make things right!

Yibo glanced at him before he focused on Luhan again, Zhan saw them talk and he was glad to see that Yibo was eating properly and things felt at peace, until Zhan's phone rang, it was a call from his grandfather, "hello."

"Zhan... is there something you are hiding from your family?" his grandfather spoke and Zhan's stomach clenched, he cleared his throat and said, "What do you mean?"

"I have heard that you have a son?"
