Chapter 18.

"Are you alright?" Zhan asked Yibo as he saw that he was clutching his abdomen and he looked really pale and weak.

Yibo just gave him a smile and said, "I am fine, it's nothing."

Zhan was not convinced, in the break, he grabbed Yibo's hand and dragged him to the washroom where he lifted his heart, and what he saw made his eyes widen with horror, "What the fuck. Who did that?"

There was a huge burn mark along with some other bruises. Yibo quickly put his shirt down as he pushed Zhan away. "I am fine; its nothing."

"You look like you are seconds away from death; how is that okay? Was it your father?"

Yibo looked away and said, "It's nothing new."

"I want to kill him."

Yibo smiled. "Me too; it's nothing new."

"Why don't you run away with me?" Zhan spoke.

Yibo laughed at this, "run away?"

Zhan nodded; he looked like he was serious, "Of course."

"And where are we going to live? We need money to pay rent, buy groceries for our further studies, clothes, water, and electricity. From where are we going to get the money?"

"I have money."

Yibo smiled as he didn't take Zhan seriously. He thought that someone like Zhan might not be able to survive in a life like that; he probably had everything he could ever ask for, and that's why he was not able to understand that it was not easy to live in poverty.

"Kidney malfunction?" Zhan paused when he heard his mother talk. He was outside their room, listening to them talk.

He peeked inside and saw his mother crying, which was nothing new, while his father was walking in the room. Both of them looked tense as he said, "Zhan... he can donate his."

Zhan's heart dropped when he heard that, before he donated his blood, he had never been this scared, this time he was scared for his life.

His mother spoke, "Is he a match?"

"The doctor had already told me about this earlier, so I made sure to ask them to run all the tests; he is a match, but of course, he doesn't know."

Zhan's heart sank when he heard that.

"We need to take him to the hospital as soon as possible."

Without hearing anything anymore, he ran to his room. He felt nauseated and scared, there was no way in hell that he would give his kidney, no absolutely not!

These sickos were playing with his life. He needed to run away; he needed to escape; he had to get away right now!

The next day, when Yibo came to school, Zhan was not present. Yibo felt disappointed and called Zhan but he latter did not answer.

He called Zhan five times, but it was of no use, and finally, when the class started, he gave up and focused on the class.

When the school was over, Zhan finally called him and asked him to meet, but the address that Zhan gave him was rather sketchy.

He invited Yibo to a motel. He quickly ran inside and knocked on the door where Zhan said he was, "Zhan, what's going on?"

Yibo asked once he saw Zhan, he walked inside the house and saw suitcase and Zhan said, "I can't stay in that house anymore, I am going to get away from that place, I have to run far, far, far, away."

"But why? What happened?" he asked as he saw Zhan pacing around the room, he looked nervous and scared.

Zhan sighed and suddenly came before Yibo, he grabbed his shoulder and said, "forget that, Yibo would you come with me?"

Zhan then moved back and grabbed a small pouch and opened, in it was a lot of money and that's when Yibo also saw the ring, but Zhan grabbed the tickets and said, "I have the tickets as well, tell me Yibo will you come with me? I know you think it's hard to survive out there, I know it's hard, but as long as we are alive, we can make it work it will be hard but not impossible, please Yibo. Just come with me, I will work hard."

Yibo was flustered, shocked and had no idea what to say this was too sudden, "I... I need to talk to my sister."

Zhan sighed and said, "All alright go and talk to her, if you want bring her too."

Yibo nodded, before he smiled, "I would love to run away with you, and live with you. Just you me and my sister."

"Yes." Zhan smiled as he hugged Yibo, "just you and me."

Yibo was smiling when he came back home but his smile was wiped off of his face when he heard the painful screams and shout of his sister.

Without wasting any more time, he ran inside the house and what he saw made him lose his mind, "Yuki!"

He saw at least six men grabbing Yuki and pinning her down on the ground while his parents sat in the corner, shivering and crying.

"GET OFF OF HER! GET OF MY SISTER"! Yibo said as he pushed the men away from his sister but the men were stronger he was over powered.

"Bastard! Don't spoil the mood!" Leo said as he smashed a bottle of alcohol on Yibo's head and the other men beat him, before tying him up and having their way with Yuki while he watched.

"STOP! STOP! STOP! JUST STOP PLEASE STOP!!!! PLEASE!! PLEASE TAKE Me NOT HER! DO WHAT YOU WANT TO ME! LEAVE HER PLEASE PLEASE!"

"Yibo...." Yuki cried, "don't look..."

Yibo closed his eyes as he lay on the ground covered in blood and wounds.

And finally, after an eternity, when they were done, they grabbed Yuki and took her away.

"HAVEN'T YOU DONE ENOUGH! WHERE ARE YOU TAKING HER! STOP!"

Leo came to him and kicked him before saying, "go and get the money otherwise forget seeing her ever again, and we still can't get all the money back from her then of course we'll come after you, you are not that bad looking after all."

As soon as they left, Yibo went to his father and yelled, "What are you waiting for go to the police! Let's call the cops! Come on!"

His father said, "why do we need to call the cops when we they have taken Yuki!"

"Have you lost it!"

His mother spoke, "Yibo you have to understand, sometimes people have to make sacrifices for the family, Yuki's sacrifice can save us all!"

Yibo was disgusted, he was taken back, he felt the ground below his feet vanish, how can these people say something like this?

How can people be so cruel? To her own daughter?

Yibo quickly ran out of the house, he ran to the police station but before he could enter the police station someone grabbed him and he saw one of Leo's men there, he smirked and said, "You really don't love your sister, do you? how can you do something like this? Do you want her to die?"

Yibo cried and grabbed his feet, "please, please, please, not her please I'll do whatever you want, just please don't harm her."

"Then get the money by tonight, or say goodbye to her. And before you do something stupid, let me tell you, you are being watched and even if you go to the police, they will do nothing unless Yuki's parents come, since you are a minor. They need the signatures of an adult."

Yibo closed his eyes as he cried helpless on the floor, "oh god please someone please, just someone save my sister please..."
