Chapter 25

Harry POV:

"We have a surprise for you Ro," I said.

Ace was driving us back home after Roselyn was discharged. Niall sat in the front, with me and Louis on either side of Roselyn. Zayn and Liam sat in the 3rd row.

"Thank you. I'm excited to get home. I just want to put all of this behind me," she replied.

"Of course love bug," Louis said with a smile, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

"Alright, now follow me," I said as we headed upstairs to Roselyn's room. The lads trailed us with our bags since we'd all basically been living in the hospital for the last few days.

I could barely hide my excitement as she opened the door to her room.

The first thing that was different: her shelf was completely full of books.

"Oh my goodness!" she exclaimed, looking around in awe. "What! Thank you guys so much. There's so many! I don't know how I'll ever read them all! Wow, you didn't have to do this for me, thank you!"

"264 to be exact," Liam said with a smile. "We know how much you love to read, but especially how much you love Carolyn Meyers. We figured her books were special to you."

"Yeah, they are. My mom would read White Lilacs to me all the time," Rose replied.

"That whole row right there," Niall said pointing to a shelf, "is filled with just books by her."

"Wow... I can't believe you guys went through all this trouble for me," she said, starting to get teary. "Thank you so much. I don't deserve you guys at all," she continued, giving each of us a hug in turn.

"Nonsense," I said. "We haven't even gotten to the best part. Check out your bathroom, or should I say, your new bathroom."

Roselyn gave me a confused look but headed over to the bathroom door, which had been fixed after me, Zayn, and Niall broke it down.

Her entire bathroom had been remodeled, with paint to match with the colors she chose in her room.

"Woooow, this is beautiful!" Roselyn said. "You guys went through all this trouble? For me?"

"Of course love bug," Louis replied.

"Anything for you Rosie girl," Liam said.

"But why? I know I made kind of a mess, but it could be cleaned up and all that, right? Remodeling an entire bathroom must have cost so much..." Roselyn said.

"Hey hey, let us handle the numbers. It's like you said before - we're leaving everything in the past. A completely different bathroom, free of the memories and events of the last one," Zayn reassured.

"It's like a clean slate Ro. You like it, don't you?" I asked.

"Ummm... well... The old design was nice and stuff. This one is... I actually don't like it.." she replied, and all of our faces fell.

"Oh..." I mumbled.

"I'm joking! Of course I love it! Thank you guys so much!" she yelled, giggling.

"Rose!" I exclaimed, teasing her back. "That wasn't very nice."

I could only hold my 'angry face' for 2 seconds before bursting into laughter along with her and the guys.

"Seriously, thank you," she said again.

"Don't mention it love," Louis said.

"Now that you're back on your feet and all, we thought we should talk more. About what happened and all," Niall said.
