The next day~
8:39pm

Eiser and I had to go back to work as an emergency had come out, thankfully, it ended well and no one was harmed.

We hadn't talked the whole day, other than the morning and when he gave me some pain remedy for the soreness.

But he and some workers had to take a look at the beachside Serenity hotel that's still under construction.

"Lady Serena, it's already quite late, maybe you should sleep now." Sui suggests, and places a cup of herbal tea on my desk.

"Yes, I guess I'll go to sleep." I sigh as I stand up and take a sip of the tea. "Sui," I call out and she hums. "When is Eiser going to be back?" I ask, curious to why he's still out.

"Oh, Raul said they will be quite late, he said there'll be traffic on the way back." Sui says, with her hands together. "Okay." I say and make my way to the annex.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As I'm about to enter my bedroom, in the annex, in the corner of my eye a ray of light catches my attention. I look over to a bright golden light peeking out from a door.
My old ballet room.
My father built it for me as a gift, because I loved ballet so much and I wanted to practice at home too.
Even when I stopped my ballet training, I would visit sometimes; whenever I wanted to revisit some of my memories.
But, after my family passed, I haven't even stepped foot in it. I don't think the maids do as often either.
Did they clean it and forget to close the lights?
I slowly walk towards the door, and open it to see my reflection in the mirror, and the rest of the room still being as I remember it. Tall mirrors were lined up on a wall, and some shelves that displayed my old ballet shoes. On the left were wooden barres. And the hardwood floor still looks new and clean.
I close the door behind me and the memories start to come back. When we would sneak in snacks even though they told us we couldn't, when we would talk about cute boys before practice, and how we helped each other with training if one of us were unsure.
Memories like those cannot be made again, but remembering how peaceful and happy my life was is a comfort to me.
I know I haven't practiced ballet in years, but I can give it a try.
I grab a pair of my old pointe shoes, and it fits perfectly. I hold on the barre and stand en pointe.
(En pointe: standing on your tiptoes)
I wobble a bit but am able to hold myself.
I'm able to pick up quickly, and I remember the ballet exercises I did at La Tassaint. Soon enough, I remember the dances we did, and it felt euphoric. I missed this free feeling when I stopped ballet.
However that feeling goes away when I feel someone watching me...
Thank you so much @MysticalPancake707 for this chapter. They came up with the idea for this (and the next) chapter and it is soo cute! Again, all credits to them for this
(and next) chapter 🤍🤍
Also, my ballet knowledge is limited and I could only do basic research on it so I'm sorry if I got any of the ballet vocabulary wrong.
