The doctor came in and kicked us out so he could run some tests on Pontius. I stayed in front of the room with Sean, while the rest decided to head to the cafeteria. “Are you sure you’re not hungry?” Mark asked us for the millionth time,

“No.” I said, the both of us shaking our heads.

“I am.” Isom pouted,

“Come on.” Cubbie chuckled, his hand patting on Isom’s shoulder.

“You don’t know what you’re missing.” Mark said,

“Okay, go on.” I shooed them away, “I’ll catch up when I’m hungry.”

“Have fun.” Sean grinned and we watched them disappear to the elevator. “What time is it?” He later asked,

“Eight.” I yawned, leaning on the wall next to the door. “You should’ve said your lie.” I started,

“You didn’t. Plan failed.” He slouched next to me,

“You should’ve! I like yours better!”

“It’s too ridiculous, how can I hire a person that quick?”

“But mine will make him panic and he’ll feel devastated and then he’ll hate us for life.”

“You’re right, we’re coldhearted.”

“I didn’t say that.”

“But we could be, sometimes.”

“No, you’re saying that because it’s you.” I smacked his elbow, “So anyways, how’s tour?”

“It was great!” He grinned, “You should’ve come with us! You missed all the fun!”

“I had other things to do.” I frowned,

“Mark got drunk a few times.”

“I don’t think only Mark got drunk.” I arched my eyebrows,

“Okay, all of us did… A few times…”

“I thought so.” I nodded. We then fell into an awkward silence, it always happens but it will quickly be recovered by some random topic that one of us comes up with.

“Are you okay?” Sean furrowed his eyebrows and studied me,

“I’m fine, just didn’t get enough sleep these few days.” I sighed,

“I should’ve noticed this earlier, you’re going to be sick.” He said, his hand on my forehead.

“You’re going to be such a good mom.” I teased, checking my own temperature. He was right, I was a little warm. Sean rolled his eyes and pulled his phone out, “What are you doing?”

“I’m doing you a favor.” He replied, dialing some numbers.

“What?”

“Shut up.” He waved his hand at me dismissively, “Cubbie! Could you go buy some water?” He started to walk away from me,

“What?” I asked again,

“I’ll be right back.” He said to me, turned left at the corner and disappeared. After Sean told me that, I started to feel worn out. I started to feel really tired and my muscles were all stiff. I did lack sleep these few days, and I feel a cold coming. Sean later came back with a bottle of water in his hand and his other balled into a fist.

“What have you got there?” I asked. He just gave me the bottle and his fisted hand reached into mine, handing me something. I studied it for a while and judging by its shape and color, it was vitamin pills or some sort.
