Caine's Love

Chapter 6.

Diana

I plugged my headphones into my new iPhone 6, and played my songs on shuffle on Spotify. 

I sat on one of the balcony chairs and hummed to the beat of the song 'Run by Nicole Scherzinger'. Pretty old song, but it just gives you the feels. Sometimes.. just sometimes it's good to feel sad; and pour out any negative emotions. 

I turned the music up all the way, so that my ears were on fire. 

Thinking about shit I came to the thought that Caine is still a virgin. Random I know, but let's be honest what hot Alpha hasn't had sex? I hate that I had to lie to him about my virginity, thinking about it all just destroys me...

I heard the door click open, I turned my music down so that I could faintly hear it. I pulled out one of my headphones and diverted by attention to the door, where Caine stood looking pissed off.

"Caine, are you alright?" I asked calmly, yet concern laced every word.

"Just fine." He snapped as he stomped into the bathroom and slammed the door shut. 

What crawled up his ass? I sighed in annoyance and stood up. I strode over the the bathroom, pulling out my headphones and placing my phone and headphones on the dresser next to the bathroom door. 

I knocked on the door gently. "Caine, what's wrong? Open up." I feel like a man trying to convince his PMSing women to snap out of her shitty mood. This relationship is all backwards... Funnily I couldn't care less, as long as Caine's mine.

I was snapped out of my thinking when the door busted open. Caine's eyes were pitch black with fury. 

He pulled me against his chest and hugged the life out of me. "I said no to them." Caine whispered in my ear. I was confused by his words.. Who did he say no to?

"Who? What?" I asked.

"Promise me you won't get any ideas of running away. Because I will find you and if you run away I'll be forced to lock you up with hand cuffs on the bed post." He sighed adding a bit of humour. I chuckled lightly at his dry humour.

"I promise." I said as pecked his lips. 

"Your brothers asked for permission to enter our land, they want permission because they wish to search for you." I froze. They must know I'm here. They would never ask to come on to another packs land. If they find me, I'll be tortured to death. Tears began streaming down my face as flashbacks of everything they ever did to me came into my head, not only what they did but what they got others to do. 

"You can't let them find me. Please Caine, I can't go back they'll k-" I was cut off before I could speak.

"They will not find you. I will not let anything happen to you, neither will my pack. You are not only my mate, but you are also this packs luna. They will protect you with there life. As will I, I'll do everything in my power to make sure they don't find you. If they even go as far as to touch a hair on your body, I'll slit there throats!" He growled as his eyes flashed black once again.

He hugged me even tighter. I felt so safe and secure, I never wanted this embrace to come to an end. Caine is everything I thought I'd never have. How did I get so lucky? Even after I killed my own parents, the Moon Goddess blesses me with a mate that is willing to fight for me, a mate that is entirely perfect, hell even his flaws are perfect. 

More tears leaked out of my eyes, a mix of happiness and fear. I've never feared anything, until I met Caine. Now I fear my brothers, my future, even my pact; but mostly I fear that I will lose Caine.

If I lost Caine, I wouldn't have anything to live for, no family, no love, no mate. I can only pray to the Moon Goddess not to take away the one thing that makes me happy in life. 

Caine didn't speak another word, his simple gesture of holding me and reassuring me was enough for me too feel better. 

"Thank you." I said as I looked into his green orbs.

"You don't need to thank me for doing my job princess, my job and motive is to protect. I will do exactly that, I'll protect you and this pack from any harm. Whether it be your brothers or some fucking rouges." He growled at the mention of my brothers and rouges.

"You are every girls dream you know that?" I giggled slightly.

"I only need to be one girls dream though. She's all I need, she's all I'll ever need." He paused before he added- "And some pups, but that can wait." I chuckled at his words.

"One day. I promise." I smiled a full hearted smile as I kissed Caine with passion. However I only hoped he wouldn't find out that I lied.

He took the lead of the kiss, not that I'm complaining. He licked my bottom lip asking for entrance which I allowed. He slipped his tongue in and kissed me with ever ounce of energy in his body.

He pulled away hesitantly. "We should stop, before I lose control." He said as he removed one of the hands that was formally wrapped around my waist, and used the hand to scratch the back of his neck.

"Yeah, I suppose you're right. But anyway I haven't been out of the penthouse in ages; let's go downstairs." I smirked knowing he would say yes.

"Well what are we waiting for, let's go!" He cheered.

I chuckled at his childish side. He laced my fingers with his and we walked out of the penthouse hand in hand. Laughing at absolutely nothing, and occasionally making stupid, idiotic and pointless jokes.

I wish life was something to always be happy about. Just for once.
