Caine's Love

Chapter 16.

Diana

Jet black fur sprotted from Caine's body. Before he could do anything I softly stroked Caine's fur, in hopes to calm his wolf. Caine let out a deadly growl, aiming it directly at Sofia, she bowed her head in submission. Sofia visibly flinched, whilst Caine ran out of his office. He soon came running back in human form with shorts on.

"I'm sorry alpha, luna." Sofia whispered. I wanted to forgive her, I did, but I couldn't.

"Sorry doesn't cut it pup." Caine growled. I placed a hand of Caine's chest, indicating for him to calm down. His dark orbs soon returning to there green.

"Please don't kill me, I have kids to look after." She sobbed.

"Oh what? So you think it's ok to kill my mate, but I shouldn't kill you because you have kids. Well guess what pup... I kids of my own." He growled. Butterflies flew around in my stomach at the mention of kids. I need to go read the bible; or drink some holy water, these thought's are not PG..

"It was wrong of me to believe based off of a single story. It was wrong on my part, my mates part and my brother-in-laws part. Wrong on all of us." Her eyes never leaving mine. "Diana, I'm sorry for my stupidity. If you allow me to, I can go back and explain everything." Does she think we're stupid or some shit?!

"No!" Caine growled before me.

"You don't honestly believe that we'd let you leave, just like that? We are not stupid." I growled defensively.

Right as Sofia was about to open her mouth, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in." Caine spoke. "Jace lock her up, make sure she doesn't escape."

"No, Diana please. Stop them please. I have pups, Diana p-please I'm so sorry." She cried before being dragged away.

A tear spilled out of my eyes. I fiercely wiped it away. I felt Caine's arm wrap around me and pull me into him. "Thank you Caine." I whispered in his chest.

"Don't thank me for doing my job, which is protecting you and making sure I don't see you cry." He replied, kissing the top of my head. "I love you Diana, and I promise you that no one will harm you. I'll kill anyone who dares lay a hand on you."

"I love you so much more." I smiled pulling away.

"Not possible." Caine replied, before smashing our lips together.

Time was passing by rapidly. No doubt in my mind that my brothers will come here.. For 2 reasons. Number 1; to retrieve Sofia, and number 2; to kill me, and avenge our parents death.

Am I scared? I've always known that everybody dies at some point. I believed that if I died then I'd get to rest in peace with my parents, in saying that however; I've never cared. In a way I believed it'd be easier for everyone if I just died. But now.. I have Caine. Now I am terrified of death. I don't want to leave Caine, though I've known him for a short period of time, he and I were designed for each other. 

I don't want to leave, I want to share experiences with Caine, I want to keep loving him. I want to marry him, have Caine and Diana junior's running around the house. I want all of that.. with Caine.

The thought of being dead without experiencing any of these things, makes me terrified. 

"Diana." I hear Caine's voice. He places a hand on my shoulder. 

"Yes?" I respond, turning around to face him.

"Come here." He welcomes me into his embrace.

I step into his arms and rest my head on his chest. My hands wrapping around his back, whilst his are wrapped around my waist. He kissed the crown of my head multiple times, whispering sweet nothings. 

Wet tears escape my eyes and soak into Caine's v-neck t-shirt.

"I'm sorry, I just wet your shirt." I lightly chuckled, pulling away enough to look him in the eyes.

"I don't care about the shirt Diana. But I do care about your emotions, and I can say you smiling and laughing are my favourite." He responded kissing my forehead, my eyes in-voulantarily closed as he's soft lips touched my forehead.

A shiver ran down my spine at the small contact he had made with my skin.

"I love the effect I have on you Diana." He huskily whispered in my ear. My body betrayed me and again I shivered.

He's lips found my own, before any further thinking; he smashed our lips together.

He's tongue caressing mine, asking for entrance. I parted slightly, just enough for his hot tongue to plunge into my awaiting mouth. His tongue exploring my mouth completely. 

I then began to fight him for dominance in the kiss. My tongue slowly entered his mouth as our mouths moved in-sync. 

Pulling away breathlessly, I smiled looking him in the eyes.

"I love you." I whispered.

"No way as much as I love you Diana." I chuckled at his response. 

"Let's not start this again. Because you and I both know that it would go on forever." I spoke as a matter-of-fact.

Caine chuckled humorously. "Very true princess, very true." 

I was then pulled into yet another embrace by the love of my life.
