Caine's Love

Chapter 14.

Diana

We had finally reached home. Caine and I hadn't bothered with talking to each other knowing that neither one of us was interested in talking.

I pulled of the dress, took my make up off, and changed into a a baggy top.

Caine was already in bed on his phone. I slid in and put as much distance as possible. I knew I wouldn't able to stay mad for to long, so I have to make it count and let him know that I am deadset fucking serious.

I turned on my side and look away form him, turned the night lamp on my side off and closed my eyes. I was asleep but still conscious, I could hear faintly and could sense everything.

Right before I fell asleep I left Caine's lips on my forehead and him whispering "Good night beautiful."

Way to make me feel guilty.

I opened my eyes and noticed I was pressed against Caine's bare chest, with his hand firmly around my waist. I jumped out of his grasp in utter shock. This caused Caine to wake up and pull me in closer. He growled and looked around the room for danger.

"Let go of me." I said trying to push myself away. Caine sighed and kissed my cheek before falling back into bed. I rolled my eyes at him and made my way into the bathroom.

Once I was done in there I made my way out into the kitchen. Caine was on the couch looking through his phone, until he got up and went into the bathroom himself. I seriously couldn't be bothered cooking so I wrote a note saying I was downstairs and made my down.

People greeted me good morning and gave me a look probably asking 'Why aren't you with the alpha?'

I stepped into the kitchen to find Anita in the kitchen putting food in her plate.

"Good Morning." Anita spoke being her chirpy self.

"Morning." I grumbled.

"Some enthusiasm would be much appreciated." She playfully rolled her eyes.

"You take what you get." I smiled sarcastically.

I mimicked her action and got a plate and put some bacon and eggs into my plate. I sat myself next to Anita on the bar stools. I stared into space and poked at the food.

"Okay, enough of this. What happened?" She asked pushing her food aside.

"Caine, date, drama." I spoke in no detail whatsoever.

"Wa-" Anita started but couldn't finish.

"Diana." A husky, deep voice spoke behind me.

"Caine." I mimicked not looking back.

"Time to talk." He ordered pulling my off the chair with both of his hands around my waist. I was now standing in front of him.

"I'm hungry." I lied.

"You can eat after."

Before I had time to fight back he put me over his shoulder.

"Hey put me down." I yelled.

"GOALS!" Anita yelled back.

Caine began walking away whilst I glared at Anita.

Pack members gave us weird stares. Caine didn't seem to care, whilst I blushed furiously and smiled a small smile.

I was soon placed on a couch in Caine's office downstairs. Caine was now kneeled in front of me. I crossed my arms over my chest, giving Caine a hard glare.

"Now, about last night. I know you poured you heart out to me. I understand that it must've been really hard. But Diana, you need to understand that you gave me this information for a reason, so that I could protect you, and so that my pack members are ready for any danger; if there is any." He sighed. "With my past, I think it's only right if I tell you when the time is right, of course I'm going to tell you though. But I will tell you when the time is right. I promise."

Knowing he was right I sighed and rested my hand in my lap and gave him a small smile. "Your right, I guess I was just behaving like a immature baby. I'm sorry."

Caine leaned in, as I followed along by pressing our lips together.

"I love you." He spoke into the kiss. Whilst I smiled into the kiss and spoke- "I love you too."

"Now weren't you hungry?" Caine asked pulling away.

Oops.

After breakfast - which Caine and I had together - I went wandering, in hopes to find Anita. Whilst Caine was in his office with Jace and John, discussing important stuff I guess.

As I wandered I admired the beauty of nature and how lucky we are to call earth ours. I wonder if there's other inhabitable planets out there, and wether we're alone in the universe or not.

My thoughts were cut short when I heard talking. Of course being the curious person I am... I eavesdropped. A girl, her back was turned away from me.

"I know babe, she doesn't suspect a thing. And her stupid mate won't be able to protect her. I know the plan." She spoke. "There alpha is stupid anyway, you should consider your sister as good as dead. Although can't wait to come back home, I want to see you and our beautiful kids."

So she has kids, oh and mid length blonde hair. Wait sister? Dead? Daniel? No David?

"Love you too David." David. She's David's mate, and he has kids. Well fuck.

I did the only thing I thought of. 'CAINE!'

'WHAT'S WORNG?'

'David's mate is in the pack. Wait is she? I don't even know her bloody name. But she has long blonde hair and has kids.' I rushed.

'Okay, I don't understand. Calm down. Are you in danger? If not come back to my office, if you are I'll be there in like 2 minutes.'

'I'm coming.' Was the last thing I said, before ending the link, shifting and sprinting to Caine.

Why me? Why now?
