Diana

I've never had an awkward situation like this before.

I'm sat on one of the dining chairs, with Caine sitting next to me. Caine had made me pancakes because it's the only thing he knows how to make, which I find so adorable.

He's just casually watching me eat, not taking his eyes of me once. I get this feeling saying he is socially awkward.

"Caine, will you please stop watching me eat." I said as I placed my cutlery down.

"No can do princess." He grinned like a mad man.

"Caine!" I whined.

"Yes princess." He smartly remarked.

"Ugh. I give up." I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned back int he chair.

"No, I'm sorry please eat baby." He pleaded apologetically. No way buddy you lost your chance, I thought in my head.

"Okay but can we talk first?" I asked hopeful.

"Is everything alright?" He asked

"I uh, you're the alpha of the pack, which means every pack in America finds out that you found your mate.. uh can we not tell any packs that you found your mate." I asked awkwardly. I felt absolutely terrible saying what I had. But it was either that, or I run away.

"Why not?" He eyed me suspiciously. Caine was dangerously calm, and let me just say that it is terrifying, not to mention intimidating.

"I can't tell you." I sighed.

"You can't tell me, or you don't want to?" His face emotionless. He went from joking straight to serious, I suppose I can't judge considering I do the same most of the time.

"Both."

"Will you just talk to me! Just let me in, I want to fucking help but you won't tell me jackshit!" He growled angrily, he threw the chair he had been sitting on at a wall. The chair shades to pieces, and the wall now had a hole in it; due to the strength that Caine had used to throw the chair.

I flinched slightly at the aggressiveness. Well that's a new record, from joking, to series, to fucking downright aggressive.

"You can't bloody expect me to just let you in on everything that's ever happened in my life! Give me some time, you can't just force me too tell you every little thing!" I said challenging his every word. "Oh and I don't need your help, I'm as independent as they come; I've lived 4 years of my life in the woods running and I've been completely fine. So stop trying to help because I don't need your help. Mate or not." I blurted out all at once. I realised what I had just said and bolted out of the penthouse. I ran into the T.V room and pressed the elevator button.

"DIANA!" Caine yelled.

I quickly jumped into the elevator and pressed the number 1 button. Caine had caught up and just as he reached me, the elevator shut.

What had I done? I basically just gave away the biggest clue.

Everyday of my life, I wish that I had just let Tony and Tobias kill me. At least I'd be happy with the Moon Goddess, but no I was stupid and naive. How could I let my parents talk me into killing them. I know that I'll never be able to forgive myself that's for sure.

I reached the bottom floor, I jumped out of the elevator and ran out of the house. I shifted into my wolf and ran like my life depended on it.

I heard a vicious growl from behind me and saw that Caine had shifted into his wolf and was hot on my trail.

Go away, go away, go away; I chanted in my head.

Suddenly my paws felt like jelly. Slowly I collapsed to the ground, my wolf eyes slowly shutting. With all the strength I had, I managed to shift back into my human form, until I saw nothing but black.

...........

I opened my eyes, and realised I was in Caine's room. I slowly adjusting my eyes to the sunlight.

"Diana! Oh my god, you're awake I thought you'd never wake up please don't ever do that to me again baby." Caine ran towards me and engulfed me in a bone crushing hug.

We pulled apart and I looked at Caine's appearance. His hair messy, his eyes were blood shot red, there was noticeable dark under-eye circles. Overall he looked like a wreck.

"How long have I been out for?"

"2 bloody days." He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair.

"I can't stay here." I blurted out.

"You have too. I don't care what your past is, but I am and this place is your future."

"You don't understand." I argued.

"Princess I know everything, and I'm so sorry you had to go through what you had too. I won't tell any pack that I have found my mate, and I've made sure that no one in this pack tells any other pack about you." I froze, he knew; he knew I killed my parents. He knows my brothers beat me up, he knows how much of a fuck up I was and am.

"How?" I asked dumbfounded.

"As soon as you said you wouldn't tell me your last name I knew you were Diana Everborn. I know about Tony and Tobias, I know that you had no choice. Don't ask how because not even I know. I'll do anything, just don't leave me you can't, I just found you, I can't lose you." He pleaded.

"Why didn't you tell me? I was terrified that you'd reject me, that you'd give me away to my brothers. You could've told me you knew." I cried.

"I would never give you away for starters. And secondly I wanted you to tell me when you were ready." He said stroking my air.

"I'm not leaving you." I gave him a small smile.

"I'd never let you leave." He said as he smashed his lips to mine.

He knew all along.
