Travel day x

I'm rudely awoken to the sound of rustling around and I can hear light sobbing so I immediately sit up in bed

Alice: "Le, what's wrong"

Leah stays silent but I can see the tears rolling down her face 

Alice: "what's wrong Leah" I say getting out of bed 

Leah: "I'm sorry" she looks up at me 

Alice: "what's going on Leah" I'm starting to get worried 

Leah: "I've lost my necklace" more tears fall out of her eyes 

Alice: "the one I got you?"

Leah: "yeah I'm sorry" she sniffles 

Alice: "it's okay, we'll find it"

Leah: "I've looked everywhere, I can't find it"

Alice: "wait here" 

I know she didn't have it on whilst we were out yesterday so she might've passed it to someone to keep hold of and forgotten, I go and knock on Beth's room door 

Beth: "oh hi Alice, everything okay" she opens the door wider to let me in

Alice: "for me yes but Leah no, she's in pieces in our room"

Beth: "why, what's happened" 

Alice: "she seems to have lost her necklace, you know the one I got her, she can't find it anywhere"

Beth: "wait a minute" she goes over to the drawer next to her bed and pulls something out 

Beth: "you mean this one?" she says showing me it 

Alice: "oh my god yes it's that one, you are a legend Beth" 

Beth: "she told me to keep hold of it yesterday before she left, she didn't want to lose it in the field" 

Alice: "thank you so much Beffy, love ya" I give her a hug and take the necklace out of her hand 

Beth: "no problem, now go get your girl and tell her you found it, love ya too" 

I run from Beth's room and back into mine and Leah's room to see her searching the whole room again, I approach her from behind and wrap my arms around her 

Leah: "I'm so sorry love, I still can't find it" she's still crying 

I stay silent but put the necklace around her neck and clasp it at the back 

Leah: "what are you doing" 

Alice: "have a look" I pass her my phone and put the camera on so she can see it 

Leah: "no way, oh my god" she leaps into my arms 

Alice: "you're a numpty, you left it with Beth yesterday and must've forgotten" 

Leah: "oh yeah I did, how did you know it would be with Beth" 

Alice: "I didn't haha, I just went and told her about the situation and she gave me it" 

Leah: "I can't thank you enough" 

Alice: "you don't need to thank me, we need to get going or we're going to be late" 

Leah: "wait come here" 

Leah quickly grabs my arm and pulls me into her placing a kiss onto my lips 

Alice: "you could've done that out there Le, we need to head off" 

Leah: "I just wanted a minute of privacy with my girl"

I smile as she calls me 'my girl' I hope I am her girl because she's certainly my girl, we pick up our bags and head downstairs to reception to get onto the bus 

Beth: "I call dibs on sitting with Alice" she shouts 

Leah: "no, she's my girlfriend back away" 

Beth: "aww Leah's getting protective, come on Al" 

Before I can even say anything Beth is dragging me onto the bus and finding us a seat 

Alice: "Leah is going to kill you" I laugh 

Beth: "big bad Leah don't scare me Al it's fine" we both just laugh 

Everyone starts piling on the bus, Leah is the first one and she looks me dead in the eye so I smile at her which she reciprocates 

Leah: "I best be rooming with Al after you stole her off me" she stares at Beth 

Beth: "if you are I hope I'm not next door so I don't have to hear anything" she smirks 

Alice: "oi" I smack her arm, Leah's face goes bright red 

Me and Leah have never discussed anything like being that intimate with each other, we just enjoy being in each other's company. My head is now questioning if Leah feels the same, is she okay with us taking things slow or is she bored, I think Leah can sense my overthinking as a notification pops up on my phone.

Just ignore what Beth said, she can be silly at times and just says stupid things. I don't care about being like that, I just enjoy being in your company and seeing your beautiful smile whenever I compliment you <3 x

Are you like in my head or something because I've just been thinking about it and now I feel like I'm stuck in my head :( x

I could tell from your facial expressions and body language that you were thinking about it, if we're roommates we can discuss it later don't worry but even if we aren't roommates we can still find somewhere to discuss it. Try not to think about it too much, I love you <3 x

We arrive at our new hotel around 2 hours later, after we've all got into the hotel and collected our key cards we're knackered so we head to our rooms. Luckily I'm with Leah which I'm thankful for as I don't think I could manage being roomies with anyone else whilst my head is going on a mad one. 

Leah: "come here" she opens her arms and pulls me in 

Alice: "I'm sorry Le" 

Leah: "there's nothing to be sorry for" she drags us to her bed and sits us down on the end, facing each other 

Alice: "there is, I reacted so stupidly after what Beth said, it was so childish of me. I'm just scared that's all" 

Leah: "talk to me, what are you scared about" she takes my hands in hers 

Alice: "that you think we're going too slow and will get bored of me, I don't want to lose you Le"

Leah: "Al I promise you won't ever lose me, I will always be here. I could never get bored whilst I'm in your company"

Alice: "so it doesn't bother you that we haven't had sex yet?"

Leah: "of course it doesn't bother me at all, I couldn't care less. I enjoy cuddling you in bed and kissing your lips, that's enough for me"

Alice: "thank you Le, I love you" I smile at her 

Leah: "I love you Al" 

We get changed and head to bed, content with life and snuggled into each others arms.
