Apologies... x

I wake up to the feeling of someone nudging my arm, who the hell is that, I open my eyes and see Lia staring at me

Alice: "can I help you" I laugh

Lia: "yes we need to go and get our things for training, it starts in an hour"

Alice: "oh shit" I leap out of bed, grab my car keys from downstairs and run out to my car

I scramble into the house and run upstairs to get my things for training, I get changed so quickly, grab my bag and then I'm back out the house to drive to training

Katie: "god you alright there Al"

Alice: "yeah why"

Katie: "you look and sound out of breathe"

Alice: "overslept a little so I was scrambling around"

I see Lia pulling up in her car so I decide to wait for her

Lia: "well this morning was eventful to say the least"

Alice: "thank god you were there to wake me up or I'd not even be here right now"

Jen: "omg did you guys spend the night together" she shouts

My heart drops as I see Leah walking across the car park, she definitely heard that. Thanks Jen

Lia: "omg Jen no shut your gob, we went over for movie night at Beth and Viv's and slept in the same bed that's all"

I remain silent just watching Leah walk inside, her head is down, she most definitely heard that

Jen: "I didn't realise how loud I shouted that I'm so sorry"

We all head into the changing rooms but Leah is no where to be seen

Alice: "anyone seen Leah"

Steph: "she went to the bathroom"

Alice: "thanks Steffy"

I leave the changing room and head into the bathrooms, I see one cubicle has the door closed so Leah is certainly in there. I knock on the door

Leah: "who is it"

Alice: "it's me Le"

Leah: "what do you want"

Alice: "can you open the door please and let me in or at least come out here"

She unlocks the door but doesn't come out which indicates to me she's letting me in. My heart is now in my stomach, she's got red puffy eyes. She looks like she hasn't slept properly in weeks.

Alice: "can we talk please, you've been so distant with me for weeks"

Leah: "did you have fun at your sleepover with Lia then" she's looking at the floor

Alice: "Leah it was nothing like that at all so please don't think like that"

Leah: "well how else am I"

She gets cut off by Beth shouting us for training

Alice: "we will finish off this conversation at home okay"

Leah: "home" she repeats and walks out

I feel awful that Leah possibly thinks I cheated on her last night with Lia, I would never do that to her. I love Leah, a lot

Lia: "everything alright in there" she says as we're walking out to the pitch

Alice: "kind of, we're going to have a proper conversation at home"

Lia: "I'm glad to hear it, get your girl back Al"

Alice: "I'll try Wally" I smile

Off we go into training, we're doing a mixture of tactical and then just some regular training. We stop at 2 for some lunch and then once lunch is over at 3, we're in the gym till 4:30 then home time

Leah: "is this space free" she says looking down at the chair next to me in which my legs are currently sprawled across 

Alice: "it so happens to be yes" I smile at her 

Leah: "I'm sorry" she says whilst eating her food 

Alice: "what for" 

Leah: "for the way I've been acting these past couple of weeks, I've not been me"

Alice: "I appreciate your apology but we said we'd have this conversation at home so let's save it for then okay" 

Leah: "okay" she sends me a small smile 

3 o'clock soon rolls around so we all head into the gym, I decide to work on legs today so I head over to a wall to start a wall sit 

Jen: "do you mind if I join you" 

Alice: "course not Jenny" I smile at her 

Jen: "I'd also like to apologise for this morning, I should never have shouted out like that and I definitely wouldn't have if I had seen Leah there" she puts her head down slightly 

Alice: "don't worry about it, mistakes happen, I'm speaking with her later so it'll all be okay" 

I continue with my wall sit before heading over to the leg press machine, there's no one else here so I pop my air pods in, my head is down focused on what I'm doing. That was until about 15 minutes later when someone comes over and pauses the music on my phone, I lift my head up to see everyone looking at me. 

Alice: "umm what's going on" 

Katie: "why didn't you tell us you could sing like that Al" I must've been accidentally singing out loud along to my music 

Alessia: "thank god I got that on video" 

Alice: "god you guys are being dramatic, get back to work weirdos" I laugh 

We all carry on with our work until it's time to head home, I'm not looking forward to this to be honest. Leah could tell me anything and I'll just have to deal with it because I love her too much to just let her go like that. I head back into the changing room to get changed before quickly popping to the toilet, on my way out Leah accidentally bumps into me and her drink goes everywhere. 

Leah: "oh my days darling I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going"

Ugh hearing her call me darling gave me instant butterflies, I haven't heard that word or anything similar come out of her mouth in weeks

Alice: "don't worry it's okay, I'll see you at home yeah?" 

Leah: "you will" she smiles and walks into the changing room

I decide to message Beth to let her know I won't be back at hers tonight

Me- Hey Beffy just wanted to say thank you for letting me stay over last night and for being there for me, make sure to tell Viv I said thank you too. I'm going back home to speak with Leah so we can try and sort things, I'll let you know how it goes x

Beffy <3- No worries at all Al, you're always welcome to come and stay at ours if you need too. I hope you guys can fix whatever is going on, I need my fave couple back being lovey dovey again x

Beth's response made me smile a lot, I really hope me and Leah can sort things too, I can't lose my Le. Not now and not ever...
