Wooyoung was the first to awake the following morning. Having initially forgot he and San fell asleep together on call, he turned on his side to face his phone and see the taller still peacefully knocked out. He spent a couple of minutes silently admiring him, just as he did when they were in bed together in the flesh.

The blissful start to his morning was soon cut short however, as he heard the click of San's bedroom door open and watched on screen as his Mother quickly came into frame.

"AH!" Wooyoung literally shrieked as he pulled his quilt above his head in panic, drawing more attention to himself that he ever would've had he just stayed quiet and still. From the underside of his covers, he heard a light chuckle coming from his phone.

"Sannie? Sweetheart? Wake up, your Father and I are leaving for the office now. There is breakfast downstairs for when you're up, we'll be home late afternoon." San's Mother softly spoke, easing the boy from his slumber.

"Mm? Oh, okay Mom. Thank you. Have a good morning, I'll see you later with Wooyoung. M'excited." San said through a yawn and stretch, eyes still closed. Clearly Wooyoung was not the only one of the two to forget the call was still running. Wooyoung's eyes widened from inside his duvet den at the mention of his name.

San's Mother stifled a laugh, shooting a glance at the mass of quilt on San's phone screen where she'd seen (and heard) the boy bury himself from sight.

"We can't wait to meet him, darling. Especially after how very shy you were about him last night. Getting all flushed when your Father and I asked you who had you grinning from ear to ear! You barely managed to get any words out other than his name, bless you. If only he could hear me now, hm?" She said with a smirk, stroking San's hair from his eyes.

"Mom.. no teasing. Too sleepy. And please don't make me embarrassed when he's around.. I like Youngie. Pretty... very pretty. Beautiful boy." San mumbled, still very much not fully coherent, and definitely not aware in the slightest of Wooyoung listening to every word from his nest, hands covering his smiling mouth as he kicked his feet.

San's Mother hummed and smiled contently, hoping the other boy could make sense of her son's sleepy rambling. She kissed San's forehead before hushing a farewell and leaving the room. Once Wooyoung heard the door click, he emerged from his place of hiding, hot and rosy cheeked from the warmth but also from San's words to his Mom whilst he wasn't even fully alert.

As he stole one last look of the gorgeous human still knocked out on the other end of the call, he decided not to wake him or let him know he'd been witness to his half asleep Wooyoung-mutters.

Placing a quick kiss on the face on his screen, he ended it, firing a quick 'Text me when you're awake, babe. <3' to the taller before plunking himself back down onto his sheets to take a minute, relishing in how blessed he'd become in such a short time, thanks to Choi San. Shortly after, he hopped out of bed, showered and headed downstairs to have breakfast with his parents.

"Good morning, Woo! You're up early for a Saturday, bud. Your Mother has just ran out to do her weekend grocery shopping, something about 'if I go too late, all the mangoes will be gone. I won't let them beat me this time'?" Wooyoung's Dad greeted him humorously, sat at their dining table with his morning coffee.

The boy snickered, knowing all too well how competitive his Mother was when it came to fighting for her daily necessities. There was a reason why he nor his Dad ever accompanied the mad woman.

"G'morning Dad. I had a good sleep last night and I don't want to lounge about too much, would rather be up and ready for the day. I have plans." He shyly commented, not particularly used to saying those words due to never really having anyone to spend time with or places to be beside school.

Wooyoung's Father's ears pricked and he smiled endearingly. "You do? That's great, Woo! What are you up to today then?"

Happy at his Father's encouraging reaction, he continued. "You know San? My new friend I stayed with the last few days? He's picking me up in a couple of hours, we're going chill at his house for a little while before we head to this new-term party thing. He said some students throw one each year. I don't know. I hope everyone is nice to me. Little nervous, I guess?"

Wooyoung changed tone the further he spoke, becoming slowly more quieter and nervous laced, picked up instantly by his Father who knew the reasoning for his son's apprehension and understood fully. Reaching out for his hand across the dining table, he picked it up and squeezed it.

"Hey. This is good, Woo-Woo. You've given those assholes from your last school far too much of your precious headspace by now. You didn't deserve the treatment you received then, nor will you ever. It's time for you to make some new memories and live your senior year to the fullest! Your Mom and I were ecstatic to hear how well you'd settled and enjoyed your first week, and this San? Sounds absolutely wonderful from what you've told us. You just focus on having a smashing time, take it bit by bit. You don't need to be scared anymore, my bud."

Wooyoung's eyes lifted from the table to meet the warm, comforting and supportive eyes of his Father, his best friend from day one. He rose from his seat to hold his elder in a warm embrace, thanking him for his kind words and for everything in general. The worry that had briefly infiltrated his mind was stamped out, and he resumed his excitement for the time he had planned with his wonderful San.

When San finally stirred fully about 45 minutes later, he reached out for his phone still stood on his bedtime stand, met with a black screen. He assumed Wooyoung had probably ended it when he awoke first thing. He tried to hazily recollect something in his brain, remembering that he'd definitely said bye to his Mom at some point that morning but couldn't piece together much else.

'Text me when you're awake, babe. <3'

San beamed as he picked up the text sent by Wooyoung earlier, replying that he was up and about to make a start on his day, eager to have the shorter back beside him. He also made sure to take the time to respond to each and every one of Hwa's 23 texts sent by the boy as he documented his all-nighter, ranging from "Sanniewannie, is it safe to eat frozen chicken wings that are still a bit icy in the centre after cooking?" To "It's 4AM. I have tummy ache and I'm not really sure why".
