The rest of the school week went by in an instant; wonderful for the majority of the group, not so much for one of them in particular who filled more with dread and nerves the closer Saturday came to him.

Wooyoung had managed to convince Seonghwa to reply to his crush that him as well as his friends would be attending their party (spent a whole hour typing, deleting, rewriting completely), to receive a 'Great! Can't wait. :)' message back that sent the taller into what could only be described as an infatuation-formed meltdown. That lasted a very, very long time.

Poor San had been on the sideline ever since the day earlier in the week where Seonghwa had picked Wooyoung as his sole confidant/assistant, even crashing the lover's sleepovers to strategically plan for the weekend.

When Saturday morning came, San physically threatened to throw Seonghwa from his window if he didn't part with Wooyoung for 2 goddamn hours to return home and pack what he needed for a 'Seongie Party Night Fashion Show' (courtesy of a very giddy Wooyoung), and essentially begged him to please give him his angel back. Even Wooyoung managed to set aside his excitement for Seonghwa's romance-arc to shoo their friend away, the couple long overdue their own private time for a small while.

"Oh my God. He's never been like this before. It's you, isn't it! You and your sweet little nature, making people want to confide in you like there's no fucking tomorrow. What about me?" San began his own counselling session with Wooyoung the second the door had closed behind Seonghwa, running to grab and paw needily at the shorter who stood laughing at him.

"My poor baby Sannie. You should be happy for him!" Wooyoung giggled, fastening his arms around San's neck as he felt himself lifted from the ground and pulled to sit atop the taller's thighs as he plunged them both down on to the sofa. "It's nice that he's trusting me so much with something. Even a little more than he is with guys he's been friends with for years. I feel helpful, and like I'm a part of something really beautiful blossoming."

San agreed somewhat through a grumbling noise of acceptance. Deep down, he knew it made him inexplicably happy to see both his sweetheart and his best friend of all time share such a connecting moment together, and Wooyoung was doing the most for Seonghwa's confidence.

But come on, you know? At what cost?

He could count on one hand the amount of kisses the two had shared over the last few days. They were still in their honeymoon period after their love confession and Wooyoung had been forcefully ripped (temporarily borrowed) from his side in the name of someone else's relationship.

"Guess so. Just missed you. Had you right with me at pretty much all times but didn't have you. I don't think I've ever been so petty and jealous, feels gross." San snarked through kisses and nippy bites to Wooyoung's neck, arms wrapped tightly around his waist like the shorter was going anywhere.

"We've got the rest of our lives together, you big softie." Wooyoung responded through a loving smile, carding his fingers under San's shirt to stroke at his skin and muscle. "This is only temporary. Wouldn't it be amazing to see your best friend share the same love as his other friends do? He deserves it just as much as anybody else. I want to help in any way I can to make it happen."

That, San definitely agreed with. So much that a switch automatically flipped in his brain and an uneasy wave of guilt suddenly flooded him, thinking that he might have been unnecessarily standoffish to his Hwa purely because he was so attached to Wooyoung.

"Before you ask, no, you haven't been an asshole. You've pretty much been on autopilot driving me and Seongie to school every day, making sure we both eat, sleep enough, always have enough snacks and drinks whilst we were working on our plan and even letting Hwa sleep in bed with us. You've been a little more quiet and that's only because you missed our alone time. It's not in your nature in the slightest to make anyone feel uncomfortable, Sannie. Don't doubt that you're the best thing to ever happen to that boy, just like you are to me."
