San clocked Wooyoung in the distance as he waited for him where he'd asked the shorter to meet. He saw a tired and grumpy Hwa dragging behind, loosely holding Wooyoung's hand as he pulled him through, nearing San who watched and stifled a laugh."Seongie, if you don't get a move on I will leave you here to be trampled by the masses." Wooyoung scolded Hwa, but with no real malice behind his words.
"I did say if you carried me we'd have moved quicker, you have to take responsibility for me if I sugar crash. Ask San, it's usually him that gets the privilege." Hwa mumbled with his head down, already ready for bed at 3pm.
"How was your lesson, Youngie?" San asked Wooyoung, who had finally caved in with a sigh and let Hwa jump onto his back, the height difference between the two looking comical as Hwa engulfed the boy completely.
"Oh yeah, it was great. Hwa was a delight." Wooyoung lightly mocked the drowsy boy on his back as they drew closer to San's car to drop the latter off before taking Wooyoung to the repair shop.
San pulled to Hwa's house and lovingly kicked his best friend out of the car, telling him to text him once he'd had his afternoon nap.
The two remaining boys drove in a pleasant but somewhat edged silence, stealing quick stares at each other when they didn't think the other was looking.
Both had independently (yet simultaneously) come to the decision to just ride things out visually. As long as they were careful and considerate of the others feelings, there was no harm in not having everything mapped out just yet. It had quite literally only been a day since they met and there was no way of knowing what 'it' was before delving a little deeper anyway.
Over the light and soothing hum of the moving car, they locked eyes in their passing glances, a smile creeping on both faces. Their hands met half way across the centre console, San's laid out flat as Wooyoung danced his fingers over it before delicately lacing his fingers into San's grasp.
-----------------------------
"Right."
"Yeah."
Wooyoung had come out to San lent against his car, his own in the near distance ready to collect after settling his bill.
"Thanks for helping me ou-" "I'm glad you're all sorted no-"
They stopped and chuckled at their overlapping sentences, not entirely sure but in fact knowing all too well why they both felt so blue that San didn't need to ferry Wooyoung around from here on out.
So now they'd been stripped of that, both were eager to find a new means of spending extra time together. San knew just the thing, and thanked the Lords above for the opportunity.
"I don't know if you have any plans Youngie, but do you maybe want to, I don't know, come to my place? My parents are out of town for the rest of the week for a business merger, they tend to be in and out a lot, you see."
"Choi San, are you trying to get at something?" Wooyoung teased. He could tell by San's tone that he wasn't really implying anything in particular other than offering good company, but he loved the wide-eyed blushing reaction he got in return.
San stuttered, hoping he hadn't offended the boy.
"N-no! God, that sounded so suggestive didn't it... I wasn't trying to be weird, I swear, ask Hwa or the guys. My parents travel a lot for work, so the boys come and spend a lot of time at my place when they're gone. I just hadn't got round to asking them because my parents only dropped me the text at dinner time. I can invite them too, if you like? Oh God. I'm rambling. Fuck." San dropped his head into his hands, mortified at the sudden virgin-similar nervousness he was omitting, now light years away from the bold act he'd put the shorter through just hours before.
Wooyoung burst with laughter, tugging at San's hands to pull them from his face.
"Sannie, stop, I was winding you up. You don't need to invite any of the others for me, but if you want to, please go ahead. Do you want me to stay over? I just need to shoot my Mom a call and let her know."
San lifted his head to look at Wooyoung who as usual sported that enchantingly bright grin and crinkled eyes, with the new feature of a rosy-tipped nose due to the cold weather making San melt even more, as the shorter waited in silence for an answer back.
Of course I fucking do. Move in with me. San shouted in his head.
"Yeah, I'd like that. Only if you want to though, don't go feeling sorry for me just because I'll be all lonely.. and sad.. by myself..." San mopily remarked, nudging Wooyoung and drinking down more of those sweet giggles that followed from his mouth.
'Okay, Okay! So needy. Let me call my Mom and I'll follow you in my car, just don't drive too fast, I don't wanna lose you." Wooyoung pushed San gently, pulling out his phone as the taller looked on with an affectionate stare that said 'Yeah, me neither'.

Soon enough, both boys pulled onto San's driveway.
As they headed in, Wooyoung took in San's home in all its excellence, marvelling at the sheer size of the place. High ceilings, gleaming tiles, large open-planned areas of relaxation but still a dominant sense of homely vibes throughout. The décor was neutral yet elegant, furniture and ornaments adorned everywhere that subtly screamed 'I was an expensive purchase'. Nothing too in the face or boastful, just a display of good taste. He could tell before he even entered that there were several floors, filled with bedrooms and bathrooms a-spare and a garden so large you could see it from the front.
Wooyoung's own parents were successful and they owned an above-average home, and Wooyoung never went without anything. He had all he needed and more. But this was on another level, and he was even more impressed that San didn't use his clear higher-classness as one of his main personality traits, like most people would.
"It's a bit big, I know. I hope it's not too much of a shock. But both of my parents had a rough start to life you see, so when they cemented themselves in the business world and succeeded on such a high scale, they rewarded themselves a little. This is about as far as it goes though. They're not materialistic people, they're good, honest and hard working individuals. I love and appreciate them every day of my life."
San cut Wooyoung out of his thoughts, seemingly apologising for and excusing his parents motives for wanting such a wonderful home for themselves and their son. Wooyoung worried again that his face had shown a polar opposite expression to what he was actually thinking.
"I think your home is absolutely stunning Sannie, and I really admire how you speak about and hold your parents to such a high regard. Your attitude is really refreshing. I have no doubt that your Mom and Dad are just as kind as you are, if not the reason you are." Wooyoung complimented San honestly, bearing no undertone of insincerity and easing at the sight of San relaxing a little.
The lovely boy in front of him truly was such an enigma. Wooyoung had never known there to be such a humble and modest person to go hand in hand with such an open display of wealth. He mentally applauded San for being his own person with the most wonderful array of social skills and natural appeal, without having to depend on his privilege.
