A couple of weeks had passed, and a steady, natural way of life had bestowed itself on the group of best friends.

San and Wooyoung faced equal parts of teasing and affection for their failure to make things official prior to confessing their undying love for each other, with the taller defending their choice until he was blue in the face, stressing that it was authentic and chaotically beautiful, just the way the pair operated the best. Wooyoung backed up every word, hyping up his boyfriend in his sulky fights whilst keeping his laughs at bay and reassuring him that he wouldn't change a thing about their journey.

Mingi and Yunho managed to retrieve their focus from others now that the dust had settled, and plunge themselves straight back in to developing their still very recent venture in to a relationship. San and Wooyoung emotionally commended the two for being so selfless and supportive, putting their needs on the back burner in the name of prioritising their friends wellbeing before their own. Needless to say, they more than made up for lost time judging by Mingi wearing long sleeve turtle necks to school every day for a 2 weeks and Yunho swapping stories and explicit tips on nightly FaceTime calls with Wooyoung.

Seonghwa had finally found his match in Hongjoong. The boy had joined the group for a food outing the previous weekend in a triple date, hitting it off in an instant with the others. The most fulfilling thing for the boys was seeing that being with Hongjoong didn't hinder nor change their friend in the slightest. His bubbly demeanour and erratic personality appeared to put an enchanting twinkle in Hongjoong's eye, who watched his every goofy move and listened to every intrusive thought said aloud with full attention and an even fuller smile. They grew close, fast, taking a leaf out of San and Wooyoung's book in that there was surely no use of holding back when you were so sure of something so dear.

All in all, each member of the group had finally found their place of purpose and bliss after a turbulent recent month. School life ran fluidly, social life stayed booming, personal life alight with contentment and joy all around.

Well...

Okay. Maybe one thing was missing.

——————————————

Wooyoung sat on the bleachers by the football field, the evening sun casting over the players brawling like brutes. He watched as his favourite boys sprinted across the grass, their shouts and hollers echoing through the air. San caught his eye above all, obviously, as he moved with such talent and confidence that never failed to captivate Wooyoung, his dimpled smile wide and eyes fiery with the joy of the game.

Despite that, Wooyoung's mind couldn't help but be elsewhere with... other thoughts. Over the last few weeks, his and San's relationship had continued to grow, each day bringing them closer than they ever thought possible. Attached at the hip and practically living at one another's houses, San's promise to add countless firsts and memories to Wooyoung's life had been well and truly delivered, and continued to be. Yet, one thing remained weirdly untapped in to.

Wooyoung had expected that surely by now, they would have gone all the way. The pairs intimacy was, for lack of a better word, fucking astounding; they had covered just about every corner of sexual activity bar the actual act itself, at least once a day. On some days, a couple more times for good measure.

He was more than excited to share himself at his fullest with San, to deepen their connection in the most memorable way. But San, in all of his blow-job, rimming, dry humping glory, had shown little to no sign of wanting to go further, and Wooyoung couldn't help the concerns running rampant in his mind.

Was he the only one feeling this way? Surely not. Was San not ready? But he seemed so excited before all that happened a little while back. Did the revelation of Wooyoung's trauma cause irreparable damage to his partner's will to have penetrative sex with him?
