the start

we still live in a society where we feel
a woman needs a man to make it through every single deal.
while, a woman appreciates the support,
without a man she's a queen with her own personal rapport.

people tag woman, who express freely as being desperate;
they say every wrong thing that's happened to her is fate.
though, they know the universe could never be this harsh;
they would pay to see a humiliated woman in cash.

people say times have changed,
but how the opinions haven't is insane.

it's the same old ugly war of men V/S women,
even though gone are the times of living in caves and dens.
it's a battle overcoming the hate for just being honest,
so brutal that over their win, your loss people manifest.

it's hard to know woman cannot be the one to confess,
because if she's rejected her life, character and dignity end up being a mess.
she's trolled left, right and centre.
it's like going through a roller coaster full of adventure.

adventure that isn't fun,
jokes that are offensive and undone.
hatred in ways - unexpected,
where in, she begins to think that some words were better left unsaid.

and yet we have woman who are strong enough to pick the pieces people feel they're managed to shatter,
women and men - when she cries it's sympathy while it showcases courage for the latter.

she doesn't regret loving at all,
she's glad everytime she falls.
because she knows she's a phoenix rising through the ashes,
she's going to shine the brightest no matter how many or who on her thrashes.

being constantly judged and scrutinised as people judge from the comfort of their homes,
they feel everything's black and white, some people built of glass while some a bundle of foams.
she's never said that she's perfect,
but she knows her worth and the value of her intellect.
she's never said she doesn't exist in shades of grey,
and we know this because she's smiled even while in her eyes tears lay.
so there is no way she's giving up,
there's no way she's going away no matter what stuff you say.

• about the poem •

Hello my lovely ladies and gentlemen out there. Through this poem I just want to highlight the fact that women do fall in love and they treat their men amazingly. As a women, I know there are wonderful men out there who are capable of love.

Given that, never do I think a woman needs a man. No, she doesn't. She's very capable in herself to provide for herself, to satisfy her needs. She's self sufficient. She's the only one who can juggle between home and office as gracefully as she does. She's the one who carries the world on her back. The one who you'll find immense unending love and compassion in.

So, for anyone who thinks woman cannot sustain without men. You're wrong. We can. But that doesn't mean, when we fall in love we don't treat the man right. No, anyone who's in love has to treat their partner as a equal, as their best half. But that doesn't mean you were incomplete without them. No, you just found someone who can be that same level of crazy or goofy. So, be grateful.

Treat a woman right and she'll surrender her world to you.
Treat a woman wrong and she'll burn the world under your feet.
