I've captured moments I didn't know I would need, I've etched the pain I didn't know one day to my soul I would feed. I've let myself be lured into traps, I've let myself get lost in you without any map. I've navigated deserts just for the site of you, I've walked barefoot on rocks because to our love I've stayed true.
And you abandoned me in the chaos, Just like a rubber ball you've given my heart a toss. You promised, you would return to me one day, And so I waited and waited keeping everything else at bay.
But now that everyone's returned and you aren't with them, My patience is at its hem. You never told me you'd betray me like this!! Letting go of me and our lives together, in war you'd choose death to be your final kiss.
