Taylor's Pov
Today we decided to do a full hard launch. Trav and I were invited to come and do a bit on SNL to which we both agreed would be a great way to fully reveal our relationship. Of course, we've been dropping hints at it like Travis mentioning it on his podcast with Jason and me coming to his game, but this would be confirming it to the world.
Travis has been extremely supportive through this whole thing being more than willing to take things at my own pace. I obviously don't want to put our whole relationship on display for the world, but I also knew I didn't want to be as secretive as I had been with Joe. I didn't want to feel that constant anxiety that someone would see us in public or someone would accidentally let something slip. I just wanted to be able to live without caring if we were seen together. That of course is easier said than done, after obsessing over every little detail to ensure I was never spotted in public with Joe for nearly seven years it's become more of a habit to try and hide. And what definitely did help is Joe blaming me every time we were pictured together, or he was asked about me in an interview.
Travis has told me multiple times that those things don't bother him, and it isn't my fault people are so invasive and inconsiderate of my life but in a sense, it is my fault since I chose this life. We've been lucky enough to have a few months to ourselves without having to worry about pictures getting out but after the game the internet was flooded with pictures of me at his game and leaving together in his car. There was also a picture someone took at the after party for the game of me sitting in Travis's lap. That definitely caused me to go into a spiral which ended with me apologizing over and over to Travis who promptly shut down all my apologies and reminded me it wasn't my fault.
Now that were in the car on our way to the SNL studio, I can't help but begin letting all of those thoughts and anxiety's bubble to the surface. I could feel a thin layer of sweat begin to settle on my skin and I felt as though I was going to throw up at any moment. "Tay? Taylor?" I was brought out of my head by Travis calling my name.
"Hey what's going on in that pretty head of your huh?" He asked me taking my hand in his intertwining our fingers.
"I'm just nervous that's all."
"Nervous about what sweet girl?" He questioned making me melt a little at the name. Even though we've been together for a few months now he still manages to make me feel like a teenager with how he talks to me.
"Nervous about how the public will react I guess." I lowered my head staring down at may lap.
Travis let go of my hand and placed both of his hands on the side of my face so I was looking at him. "Hey everything is going to be ok. And who cares what they say about it, all that matters is that we're happy whatever opinions people have doesn't matter." He was staring directly into my eyes and spoke with such affection in his words making me tear up.
Travis noticed my tears and pulled me into his chest. "Don't cry baby you'll ruin your makeup." He chuckled a little making me smile.
"It's water proof it's fine." My voice was muffled by his chest but I know he heard me because he started laughing more. I pulled back and pressed my lips against his. The kiss quickly became heated and I unbuckled my seat to straddle his lap. Travis left a trail of kisses down my jaw until he reached my pulse where he began gently sucking and biting at the skin not hard enough to leave a mark but enough to make me let out a soft moan.
Before things could get any more heated the car came to a halt. I climbed off Travis's lap and plopped back into my own seat fixing my clothes and hair. "Ready?" I nodded in response taking a deep breath.
