Taylor's Pov

I swayed my hips as I floated around the kitchen grabbing various items out of the fridge and cupboards listening to the music playing through the speakers. Travis was out at practice which meant I had the house to myself for a few hours, so I chose to busy myself in one of my favorite hobbies, baking.

I had surrounded myself with various cookie sheets and cake tins experimenting with new sweet treats for Travis to take with him to practice. Something about the idea of my 6'5 boyfriend walking into a room with a bunch of other men with his little Tupperware cases always brought a smile to my face and according to him everyone else.

The oven beeped loudly alerting me to the finished batch of chai cookies which lay inside. Pulling the tray out I grabbed the pan of cinnamon rolls sliding them in setting the timer once again.

Looking around the kitchen, I grimaced at the mess that had begun to grow on the counters. Usually, I clean things up as I go but today, I had been making so many things I just hadn't bothered to put anything away knowing I'd just have to grab it out again. Deciding I probably needed to cut myself off I began gathering the ingredients that were scattered across the counters placing them back into their spots.

I went between cleaning the kitchen and adding the final touches to the pastries lining the counter. It wasn't until I was putting the final bowl on the rack to dry that I got the notification that Travis had arrived home. It was a few moments after that where I could here the familiar sounds of him coming inside and dropping his shoes by the door.

"Tay-Tay!" I heard him yell making me smile.

"Kitchen!" I called back already plating one of the cinnamon rolls.

"Do my nostrils deceive me or do I smell the goodness." His voice trailed through the halls as he appeared in the entrance to the kitchen. He let out a loud dramatic gasp slapping his hand on his chest as he looked at assortment of sweets lining the counter. "Who or what did I please to be deserving of a fiancé like this?"

"You're ridiculous." I laughed shaking my head. I walked towards him snaking my arms around his neck tipping my head up to press a kiss to his lips. Travis leaned down deepening the kiss allowing my feet to sink back onto the floor my back dipping back. "How was rehearsal? I mean practice." I corrected myself smacking Travis who let out a laugh at my slip up.

"It was good but that is the last thing on my mind right now." He smirked looking over at the baked goods.

"I figured it would be a nice surprise since it's your cheat day." I shrugged moving out of his arms to grab the small plate which held an overly frosted cinnamon roll. "Wanna split a cinnamon roll? I just need to change out of these clothes I look like a bakery threw up on me." I asked already handing him the plate.

"Do you even need to a-" the words got stuck in his mouth as he watched me slid my shirt off myself leaving me bare from the waist up. "Damit woman what are you trying to do to me?" He asked his voice dropping into a low growl.

"I told you I needed to change." I threw a wink over my shoulder slowly sauntering out of the kitchen to go change my clothes. I could feel his gaze on me as I walked away, and I couldn't hold back the smirk knowing exactly what I was getting myself into.

Surprisingly enough Travis didn't end up following me upstairs even after I took an unnecessary amount of time to change out of my flour covered clothes. I guess the cinnamon rolls won this round.

I made my way back into the kitchen after changing into a pair of comfy sweats and one of Travis old chief's shirts expecting to see Travis stuffing his face full of pastries but was confused when I realized he was nowhere in sight. "Travis?" I walked further into the kitchen peeking over the center island to see if he was hiding. "Trav?"
