Based off something Taylor said in an interview for cats.
"Just me hiding under a bed. I can't fit under there anymore, I've tried recently."Taylor's Pov
"So there's nothing we can do?" I ran my hand through my hair tightening my fist around.
"No he's technically not done anything legally wrong so we can't do anything but see if we can get them taken down." Tree sighed. She was just as pissed as I was, maybe even more than me. "I know it's not the answer you want but it what I've got for you, I'm sorry Tay."
"Yeah I know it's just- I mean I was drugged in those photos you'd think that we be some form of ground to take legal action against." I was near tears, I don't know if they were from frustration or sadness, maybe a mix of both.
"You'd think it would," Tree exhaled. "Look I'm going to deal with Joe I want you to go rest ok. Go enjoy your time with Travis, I'll call you if there are any updates."
I nodded my head not fully trusting my own voice. Tree gave me a sad smile before logging off the call. Letting out a shaking breath I closed my laptop tucking it away for later.
If he were here, I would definitely be taking Tree's advice and going to Travis for some much-needed cuddles but because of prior cravings of the chocolate variety he was going to be out for at least another ten minutes.
Feeling the panic beginning to raise in my chest I went to the one place I always felt safe, the bed. Under the bed to be more specific. Ever since I can remember I've always liked hiding under my bed. It's always been a safe space I can go when I need to process emotions or need to hide. It was like a security blanket of sorts. I'm not sure why but the small dark space is oddly comforting.
My knees shook as I ascended the stairs and walked down the hallway to the master bedroom. I dropped to the side of the bed my vison was starting to fog only to realize the bed frame was way too short for me to physically crawl under.
"No please." I whimpered still trying to squeeze myself under even though I knew I wouldn't fit.
Eventually I gave up choosing to curl up as close as I could to the underside of the bed. Memories I had tried to bury flashed through my mind like a broken record. I couldn't breathe, I didn't want to. If I breathe it will make it real. I need Travis. I opened my mouth to call for him, but I couldn't hear the noise. I tried calling for him a few more times hoping by some miracle he had come home by now.
Travis's Pov
I hummed happily to myself as I placed the bag down on the counter. Taylor and I both decided we wanted chocolate, so I volunteered to go and grab some along with some of our other favorite snacks. I began unloading them onto the counter when I heard something upstairs. It's probably just the cats, there still getting used to my house so they been as Taylor put it channeling their spider monkeys. It wasn't until I heard it the third time that I realized it was Taylor yelling my name.
Forgetting the about the snacks I sprinted up the stairs trying to pinpoint where the noise had come from. I waited until I heard my name again, her voice sounded broken. Not good. I ran to my room where I found Taylor curled into a ball next to the bed.
"Hey hey what's wrong." I rushed to her side pulling her into my lap. She just shook her head pivoting her body, so she was back against the bed while clinging onto me as tight as possible.
"H-hold me." She choked out digging her nails into my shirt.
"I am sweetie." I said slightly concerned.
She just shook her head. "Tighter, hold- hold me tighter."
I hesitated a moment not wanting to hurt her on accident before slowly increasing my grip, so I was squeezing her tight. It was like a switch went off in her head, her body relaxing into mine her sobs coming to a halt. She was still sniffling and whimpering but she wasn't as frantic. It took her a few minutes to fully calm down but even after that I didn't dare let go until she was ready.
