Screams

I walk into the common room, accomplishing my first curfew hours of the year without being caught. Ed will be pissed he missed out. As i look up to the only lamp lighting the cold, dark room platinum blonde hair stuck out on the sofa. I smile as look to see Draco reading a book and quietly walk up behind him. I wrap my arms around his neck and lean into his ear "reading Malfoy?" i question into his ear and he turns his head to meet mine rolling his eyes. "Sneaking in Diamond?" He cracks a smile as i sit on the opposite side of the sofa, facing his way.

"What you reading?" I ask grabbing the book out his hand and looking at it "unforgivable curses?" I raise my eyebrows. I know Draco doesn't have much feelings but moody's lesson today was harsh. Only Draco Malfoy would be interesting in reading about it after that. He snatches the book back and lobs it on the table. His face looks all tense and he keeps his eyes on the table. He's worrying. I shuffle closer to him grabbing his hand making him turn his head to me. "Whats up?" I look into his eyes matching his concern. He shakes his head "nothing. Whats up with you? V and Blaise are together and Ed's hooking up with a random girl from Hufflepuff...haven't seen you since the triwizard announcements." He taps his thumb on my hand and i sigh, letting go of his hand and leaning back with my head laying on his lap. I couldn't tell him the truth. I mean Ron Weasley...even i could barely believe it. "I just went for some fresh air around the lake...i like it there. The announcement was all so...intense." I let out a little huff of defeat as i look up at the ceiling. "I could of gone with you...got me away from fucking DADA." He brushes some pieces of hair out of my face, his hand tracing along my face smoothly. "You should of. Standing there...with all those stars and the water" i look up to the ceiling, Draco'shand playing with my hair "its just so peaceful." Well at least until Ron showed up...

"Its always reminded me of when i was little." I sigh my eyes glossing over. "The silence you know? Lots of things happening but never actually hearing it?" I look up to his eyes and he looks sad as he listens. Draco's always been good at listening and knowing what to say. "But at the same time its nothing like it. I mean the constant water swishing around, and the trees swaying in the wind, sound dragging from the building, the animals hanging around...having all those noises are one hundred times better then sitting in a completely silent house alone." I sniffle at the thought and Draco look into my eyes instead of my hair. "Sophia Diamond i promise you, you will never be alone"

"All of us are going to the Hufflepuff party tomorrow night." V sits down next to me in the Great hall as Blaise sits down opposite her. Ed's eyes go wide with excitement and he smiles at me cheekily. "Hufflepuff? This early? Normally Gryffindor is first or us?" I question look towards the two of them. "Their celebrating the 'true Hogwarts champion' for the theme" Blaise piles some potatoes on his plate. "Golden Boy himself" Ed wiggles his eyebrows at me earning an eye roll his way. "Im surprised he's not already over her asking you for another chat" Blaise nods behind me and i turn meeting eyes with Cedric who gives me a slight smile. I turn back and cut into a sausage keeping my eyes on the plate to avoid the boys stares. "Did he not even tell you?" Veronica scrunched her eyebrows together confused as she references to the tournament. I shake my head no, stabbing my sausage with a fork. "Ugh what a dick move." V sips her juice "heads up the dick himself is building up the courage to come over here so if you wanna make a run for it nows the time." Ed speaks up giving me a slight smile before shoving a carrot in his mouth. "Will do." I sigh as i swing my legs over the bench "see you guys in transfiguration in like 10?" I say as i grab Ed's wrist to check his watch pulling his fork away from his mouth as i do so. I blow him a little kiss as he grumbles earning a laugh from V. I quickly stand up and walk out the hall begging Merlin himself that Cedric doesn't come after me.

As i turn out the hall i see Harry jogging down the stairs looking exhausted. I walk up to him quickly and he looks up at me closing his eyes slightly with a sigh, stopping on the last step of the staircase. "Look Sophia if you wanna come yell at me as well then i just really don't need it." He opens his eyes properly and i send his a small smile. "Im not coming to yell. I just wanted to see if you were ok? I haven't seen you since last year and altos happened..." i shrug looking up to him. He lets out another sigh and sits down on the stairs with his head in his hands. "Sophia i didn't put my name in that fire." He mumbles out and i sit next to him on the stairs, looking down the empty hallway. "I know..." i sigh and harry lifts his head looking back up at me surprised "what?"
