"Please. Be more nervous it's entertaining" V scoffs as we walk towards the hall. I glare at her from the side as a response, huffing lightly as we turn and walk in. I spot him almost immediately. His platinum hair shining through all the dark robes. I take a breath, V giggling next to me and she grabs my hand and pulls me along.

As we walk up all three look at us, Blaise hitting Draco next to him earning a deathly stare back. V sits down, one side of Ed to leave the space opposite Draco free. I mentally scream at V for it as i release a smile to all of them, silently watching me as they wait for a show. As i look at Draco, he immediately looks down and continues to eat some eggs making my smile drop slightly. I try to convince myself he's in his morning mood but i know that not the reason. I breath out lightly, going to sit down as my name is called behind me.

As i turn, still stood Cedric is walk up like he's been waiting for me all morning. "Oh it just keeps getting better" Blaise laughs lightly as i shoot a look towards him. Cedric clears his throat as he looks at all of them, then at me. "I- um was wondering if we could talk? The second task is coming up-

"Let her fucking eat" Draco growls and i wince at the interruption. Cedric looks at him, slightly annoyed as Draco's jaw clenches. I look between the two of them as they stare at each other intensely, opening my mouth to break whatever was going on but not knowing how. I snap my head round to the others, who just shamelessly watch. V wiggles her eyebrows in an 'i told you so' way and i grit my teeth at the silence.

"Why don't we talk after classes?" I whip my head to Cedric, a smile plastered on my face. "I have potions last, could you meet me there?" I ask as i watch Cedric's tongue roll on his cheek as he has his stare off with Draco. "Fine. See you then" he talks but keeps looking at Draco before turning and walking off. I sigh lightly as i look away, noticing McGonagoll watching with a raised brow. God my reputation really is going down hill. I turn back to the table, sitting down awkwardly. Preparing for a very awkward and silent breakfast.

"Get started on your essays. You will be finishing them for homework" Snape boring voice drowned out as i daydream into the desk. I guess start of the year me wouldn't of ever guessed i wouldn't want to be sitting next to Draco...

I could practically see the uncomfortableness between us as i hear pens scribbling on paper. Draco has been daydreaming to, or just looking down awkwardly to avoid any possible eye contact with me. What changed since yesterday? I let out a small sigh as i pick up my quill to start my essay, but end up just staring at the paper and wondering what the essay was supposed to even be about. I was too busy fixating on Draco next to me. I thought we agreed we were better as friends...so why is it so awkward now? Why cant we just be best friends again?

a deep throat clears next to me and as i look up Snape is towering over me, peering down like I've done something wrong. "Diamond could you possibly tell me what is so fascinating about...paper?" He lifts one eyebrow as people stiffle their laughs around us. I wouldnt be surprised if Ed told the whole school about Draco and I. News spreads fast around here. That's what's going through my head as everyone's looking my way. My head spins around the room, my mouth open for a response. The only person not looking at me? Draco.

I hate that he's not doing anything. He loves potions. And being a suck up to Snape but mainly he loves potions. I turn back to Snape closing my eyes briefly before replying. "Sorry professor. Just making an essay plan in my head." I send him a light smile, even though I've never seen one mirror onto his face. "Well perhaps you could tell the class your essay plan" he swivels, heading to the front of the class. My eyes widen slightly. "Uhm" i look around, everyone waiting for me next move until a paper gets shoved onto my side of the table. My eyebrows scrunch lightly as i look down at it.

Draco's plan...i look at him quickly but he's still looking down so i look at the paper.

Before i could finish Snape clears his throat, turning from his chalk board to see what i was doing. I snap my head up arranging the scribbles in my head. "Well i was thinking of doing Amortentia-

"Amortentia? That's a potion you study later in Hogwarts...i didnt realise you were so interested in potions Miss Diamond" Snape questions and i nod lightly "yeah i read about it...its like the strongest love potion" i recite from Draco's notes and Snape nods along. "So what is your plan?" He wonders, turning back to the chalkboard. "Well...i was thinking of starting off with the introduction...you know about the potion and then go on to the ingredients-

"Which are?" He asks still facing the board, trying to catch me out. What is with him today I'm in Slytherin? He's normally easy on me. "Uhm well i didnt read that part but considering it was the end of the day i was planning on going to the library and researching-

"Perfect. And considering Malfoy holds such a strong love for his desk he will be going with you. Try get some words into his thick skull" Snape seethes as Draco looks up to him. "Are you making a plan in your head aswell? Please elaborate" he sighs lightly as everyone is silently waiting, Draco looks between the paper and Snape with a sigh. My eyes squint as i look at Snape's proud face. So even professors know? Thats why he's trying to humiliate us? Evil prick.

As soon as the class was over Draco practically snatches his stuff as he rushed out. I sighed as i quickly grabbed my stuff to follow him. "Draco! Wait" i scurry after him and he stops and takes a second before turning around, his eyes avoiding mine as people walks around us giving us some interested looks. I let out a huff and hand him his paper back. "Thank you" i smile lightly but he just bits his lip before nodding at it. "Keep it."

"What? No Draco-

"Snape thinks your doing it now just keep it" he sighs as he looks behind us. "Draco-

"Stop!" I flinch at his sudden interruption and he breathes out slowly as he rubs his jaw "just stop saying my name like that" he closes his eyes for a moment before finally looking into mine. My breath hitches slightly as my voice comes out light as i know I'll regret asking. "Like what?" I say almost under my breath. He steps closer, a husk voice like everyone magically wouldn't be able to hear. "Like you did that night" he breathes out lightly, looking down into my eyes. His words catch me off guard and my eyebrows fall slightly at the disappointing fact that he's not over it.

"I thought we agreed..." i trail off not even knowing where I'm going with the conversation we're having in the middle of the hall. He nods lightly, pressing his lips together before he responds. "It's all i think about now. Whenever i look at you. I just need some time." He confesses but his face shows pain as i stare at him, slightly shocked and no clue how to respond. So i just nod, looking down to disconnect the energy from his eyes. And when i look up he's walking down the hall, hand running through his hair as his school robes fly behind his rushing body.

I breath in lightly as i watch him walk away. Maybe i did loose my best friend...

I look to the paper of his notes, reading through it.

I press my lips together to stop emotion showing in the hall and without realising mumble quietly

"Amortentia..."
