Remus slowly rubbed his eyes and tried sitting up, only to fall back as a numbness took hold of his body. Despite the pain, Remus pressured his body to get into a sitting position, he lent against the wall, his head tilted to the side.

Remus looked out the arched window and realized where he was, memories started coming back to him as he heard the click of his bedroom door. In his frozen haze, Remus' eyes followed the figure who entered.

Remus watched Sirius approach him, unable to move as Sirius sat on the bed next to him with a bowl and towel. Remus tried to flinch but Sirius held his cheek gently with a smile and took the wet towel out, dabbing it across Remus' face until Remus shot up with a jolt. Remus felt all his senses come back at once as the scent hit his nose, the taste of pomegranate fading off of his tongue.

Remus moved back into the pillows, away from Sirius who just rolled his eyes and waved his hand, all the doors locking.

"You bastard! You poisoned me!"

"I knocked you out without getting my hands dirty"

"Why did you knock me out?!"

Sirius narrowed his eyes at Remus, he still couldn't believe he was letting a soul speak to him in such a manner but Remus was too intriguing for Sirius to just let go.

"You were wounded"

"Yeah no shit Sherlock! You poisoned me!"

Sirius smirked, "I didn't realize you were wounded until we spoke in my office"

"What? I'm fine?"

"You are now."

"What happened? Trying to trick me again? Was that towel covered in something that'll kill me?!"

"I don't know how many times I have to tell you this, you are a soul. Can't kill you, well...I can, but not really? You'd just regenerate back in the cells eventually"

"..."

"Anyway, your outfit had an enchanted blade in it. The jacket was too tight for a reason, it was to keep the blade in place. You would only have realised it was even there once you took the jacket off and started bleeding all over my clean sheets."

"Well did you speak to Pandora? She's your tailor isn't she!"

"It wasn't Pandora, she doesn't tailor my clothes. Pandora is our potions master, you're free to speak to her any time. It also wasn't her handwriting."

"So who was it?"

"I'm not sure. I'm looking into it."

"Why did you poison me?"

"I did not poison you."

"What do you call that at dinner then?!"

"Politely putting you to sleep so I could remove the dagger safely without you attempting to kill me"

"That's poisoning."

Sirius brushed his hand across Remus' torso, pulling the shirt up to show Remus the wound from where the blade had pierced him.

Remus' eyes widened slightly at his slashed stomach, he then looked up at Sirius who was waiting for him to make eye contact, "you could've just told me".

"Would you have believed me?"

"I was dining with the god of death, it wouldn't be the wildest thing that's happened to me."

"What's the wildest thing that's happened to you?"

Remus was silent for a moment, moments of his death flashing in his mind before responding to Sirius in a mocking tone,
