Remus comes to Hogwarts in their last years, he use to be home schooled by his foster parents but now is an official student at Hogwarts. He has a lot of catching up to do, a house to be sorted into, and a lot of people to meet despite his lack of social skills.

Remus held onto his bag nervously, he was arriving late to Hogwarts after being homeschooled with his foster parents. The ministry had been keeping an eye on Remus after his registration papers but now had officially decided he should be attending Hogwarts rather than being taught "muggle lessons".

Honestly, Remus hadn't been in favour of the idea at first and was perfectly content being home schooled by his parents, life with them was easier, he didn't need to keep secrets, didn't need to worry about what they thought, now he was going to a school, a real school where'd he have to learn everything from the beginning. Remus was scared.

Remus had said goodbye to his parents and was now standing on the infamous platform 9 and 3/4. Remus watched as everyone bordered the train, saying goodbye to their families and catching up with their school friends once more. Remus nervously got onto the train and continued walking until he found a spare compartment where no one sat.

Remus put his trunk on the shelf and sat down on the chair, leaning his head against the window and looking out on the opposite side of the station which seemed bland compared to the bustling 9 and 3/4. Remus suddenly turned around when he heard two sets up loud footsteps approaching the compartment, Remus was in the last one so they must have been coming for the compartment he was in.

Remus heard someone shout and then a boy in glasses sprint past the door window, tripping and hitting what he assumed was the corridor wall. The second voice came running not far behind him,

"Quick quick in there!"

"No way they'll find us!"

"We're at the end of the train James there's no where else to go!"

The two boys opened the door laughing before pausing when they saw Remus, who was just staring back at them scared. Remus assumed they were going to give him a reason to jump out of the train and run back to his parents but to his surprise the two boys were rather calm after they'd come down from whatever high was happening outside.

"Hey mate, I haven't seen you before? James" James put his hand out for Remus to shake, which Remus did before looking at the boy next to him, who was just staring at Remus.

"I'm Remus"

Remus didn't know what else to say, he hadn't exactly anticipated having company so soon, so he hadn't thought of any conversation starters or prepared himself for social interaction.

Remus looked at James and noticed all the features he possessed. James had warm skin, freckles scattered across his cheeks and amber eyes that were encased within his circular glasses. Remus could tell James had one of those contagious smiles, considering how easily welcomed Remus felt in James' presence. Remus figured James was the "golden retriever" or "sunshine character" of his group.

Remus then looked to the boy who still hadn't introduced himself. He had light skin which polar opposed his jet black hair which in itself was pinned half way up and fell just above his shoulders. He had a lean figure, fingers that were laced in rings as well as two necklaces that hung from his neck. The boy had tattoos somehow, he looked to be the same age as Remus which means he'd gotten them done illegally, but despite Remus' disapproval for that, he did like the styles. Remus could also make the safe assumption that out of anyone he was going to meet on this train ride, this was the one who would cause him the most trouble.

James realised Sirius still hadn't introduced himself and elbowed him in the side, Sirius winced at looked at James annoyed before shaking his head and sitting on the chair opposite Remus, beginning to speak,
