Sirius is basically like Hades?
He's the king of the underworld, a literal god, and one day he meets Remus, a mortal soul.

Sirius laid back on his throne, the wailing sounds of screams drowning out as he closed his eyes and envisioned himself in the mortal world. He would often go there in a human disguise, linger amongst the common people and admire how the littlest things brought them such joy.

Sirius would often visit France, the trips were always pleasant, he could speak the language fluently so people didn't treat him like a tourist and he had, had, many...pleasurable interactions that the underworld simply did not provide.

Sirius opened his eyes and grimaced at his kingdom, a mostly blue haze with rivers floating around each path like a twisted maze. His throne sat high, a stone seat, engraved with an ancient text only those who witnessed what happened that day could understand.

Two, no three, figures began approaching him, the souls in the water attempting to drag the guards and prisoner down with them before Sirius sent them back to the depths with the snap of his fingers.

"Your highness" the two guards bowed before Sirius, tugging at the prisoner to mimic their movements, "this soul wishes to speak with you".

"Oh how cute, does the soul understand what happens when my time is wasted?" A fierce flare appeared in Sirius' eyes, complimented with a malicious, sly smile.

"That's been thoroughly explained." The grey eyes stared at Sirius and the rough tone spoke back.

Sirius lent back, crossing a leg over the other and propping his arms up on the chair. Here he was thinking his day was going to be boring, "go on then"

The man swallowed and moved forward, still in chains. Sirius gestured for the guards to leave back to their posts and with another wave of his hand Sirius slammed the doors to his throne room shut.

The man shivered for a moment as the shudder of stone echoed around him before the room fell silent and all he could see was Sirius sitting upon his throne, looking down with a smug face.

"I simply wish to ask what I've done to deserve the punishment I have received? I followed the code, I loved those I met, I never hurt anyone, I never broke the law...sure ok I acted up in school a bit but I got good grades and a scholarship after that!"

Sirius' eyes glowed an unnatural shade of blue, "never again will you raise your voice at me like that. You are just a mere human-"

"A human who, despite everything he went through, still followed your stupid rules! ...and here I was thinking I was praying to a god who cared about me"

Something about the man's voice made Sirius smile, so, purely out of curiosity of course, he asked,

"What is your name?"

The man straightened his shoulders and swallowed, "Remus, Remus John Lupin" he said with as much confidence as he could muster, he remembered he was talking to a god, someone who could obliterate him out of existence in a matter of seconds.

"Well..." Sirius lent forward, letting his eyes wander across his new entertainment's body, "Remus" he smiled teasingly before sitting back properly again, "you're right".

"How could you!...wait what?"

"You're right, you shouldn't be here. In fact I don't even believe I'm even the right god for you to be worshipping." He looked at Remus with a shrug then whispered under his breath, "not that I'd be opposed to seeing you on your knees".

"How do you know? How do you know I don't belong here?" Remus was starting to question if this was a trap, a trap just set up to lure him into a false sense of security before his true punishment started.
