CHAPTER 3

3rd Person's Pov

Aleah is waiting for her manager to arrive at her condo. She is a bit nervous about what news awaits her. She opened Spotify to pick a music playlist that will help her calm her nerves. Minutes later, her manager finally arrived with their breakfast.

"Good morning, Aleah." She greeted Aleah.

"Good morning, Linda." She greets back. Linda took out the food from the plastic bag while Aleah prepared the plates and fork and spoon.

"So, what do we need to meet about?" Aleah finally opened the conversation topic.

"Well, I received an offer from three teams to be their model." Linda spoke. Aleah nodded.

"And then?"

"I rejected it." She goes straight to the point.

"Oh, why is it?"

"Well, their offer doesn't make sense if you've personally been invited by the MLBB itself, right?" Linda smirked. "Their invite is much more tempting, and you will get to enjoy the bootcamp than to battle with other models for points." Linda rolled her eyes while saying. Aleah chuckled.

"Make sure to accept the invite. I guess they want me to promote the event?" Aleah guessed. Linda closed one of her eyes and her index finger points at Aleah.

"Bingo. Knowing your influence as Aleah, who wouldn't want to invite you?" she let out an evil laugh. Aleah just sighed at her manager.

"Is Ate Alodia coming to the event?" she asked (Ate-Older sister)

"I heard she will, have you two met already?"

"No, but I played with her once when I was still active on the game." She answered. Linda only nodded.

"I'll make a call right now to reject the offer and to accept the invite of the coordinators." Aleah stopped her. "What is it?"

"Which teams wanted me to be their model?" she asked.

"Hmm... EVOS Legends, ECHO, and Blacklist International. But, from what the management discussed, Blacklist international wants you to be one of their Agent." Linda informed her. "But the management will discuss it with us further if it is confirmed. Your opinion is important after all." She added. She excused herself to make a call. Aleah was left alone to think about a sudden offer of Blacklist.

'I'm quite curious of how the agent thing works. Should I try it?' she thought to herself. 'but it's still not confirmed anyway so might as well focus on the event of MLBB first.'

Meanwhile, Kairi is busy grinding Mobile Legends with his friends. He received a call from Coach Yeb which made him quit the game since it's only custom.

"Yes coach? Why did you suddenly call?"

"Have you already heard about the bootcamp event? All of the strong players will be there. The venue will be announced later so remain standby."

"Okay coach. By the way, did the management choose who will be our model?" he asked.

"Why are you interested? You're thinking about SZE don't you?" Coach Yeb teased him.

"No I'm not!" He denied. "I'm just curious that's all."

"Yeah, yeah, SZE was chosen. So you don't have to worry." He teased Kairi again to the point Kairi hung up on him. Coach Yeb was laughing while Kairi sighed in frustration.

'when did this rumors start of me and SZE anyway?' he groaned in annoyance. His phone suddenly rang again and he saw who called. He pressed the green button.

"Hey."

"Hey bro, are you free? Let's hang out."

"Are you here?"

"Of course! The moment Boss Tryke told me I immediately asked for a leave." Kairi smiled at his friends' words.

"Just let me know about the location, I'll be there." He said and hung up to get ready.

Kairi had just arrived at the location and immediately saw his friend, Edward. They shook hands and Edward had already ordered their snacks.

"I know you're having a tough time. Don't look into social media a lot because criticisms are normal. It can bring negative or positive to us, but, I don't want you to suffer." Edward felt sorry for his friend because he couldn't be there for him when that happened. But, Kairi understood because they are both professional players and have their responsibilities. It's a tough moment for Kairi so Edward made sure that Kairi knows that he is always there for him even if he doesn't show it much.

"Thanks." Kairi smiled because he felt the genuineness of Edward.

"Anyway, let's talk about something else. Has your team picked a model?" Edward asked him as the waiter served their snacks. Kairi waited for the waiter to walk away before answering.

"Yeah. You can guess who it is." Edward looked at him teasingly. "Please don't add more fuel to the fire." He sighed. Edward laughed at Kairi's tired face because of the teasing. "What about your team?"

"Well, we have reached out to the perfect model as what Renejay described. Well, personally, I could also say that she's the perfect representative of our Blacklist, because she has that 'broke a code' vibe that matches well with our catchphrase." Hearing Edwards compliments, Kairi is curious of the mysterious lady Edward is pertaining to.

"And who is this 'Perfect model'?"

"Her name is Aleah. One of the top bidding ambassadors of Prada and Gucci." Kairi felt a sting on his heart.

"I heard about her. I think she had done a photoshoot with SZE's sister." Kairi shared. Edward stared at him.

"What? Dlar told me about it." Kairi defended himself.

"Whatever you say." Edward chuckled. "Anyway, I was told that Aleah might reject the offer anyway so Coach Bon already sent out some potential models by the Blacklist Agents instead."

"Never be too sure." Kairi agreed.

'If that Aleah might become the model for Blacklist, that would be hard for other models to compete.' Kairi thought. He remembered the billboards and posters of Aleah clearly back when he was in Indonesia.

"Oh, I forgot to tellyou that Aleah is also here in the Philippines, I heard that it was for ashoot." Edward told him
