CHAPTER 28

3rd Person's Pov

"So Aleah, what's your status with Kairi?" Joanna asked.

"We're friends." She replied.

Both of them are watching Television series. Tomorrow is the final ranking game and in the afternoon will be the final game play.

"Friends? Friends?! Do friends do what couples do every chance they get?! Do you have any idea about what's circling around the social media right now?!" Joanna nagged. Aleah shrugs.

"No idea." Joanna fumbled at her response. She pulled out her phone from her pocket and typed something, then shows it to Aleah.

"Look, it's all about Kairi and Aleah, what's their score? Spotted hanging out around BGC, spotted in Tagaytay, etc." She told her. "Do you know how serious this is? they made a lot of make up stories about you. And not only that, but some fans are also hating on you for hanging out with him!"

Aleah hid her smile. What she didn't know was Kairi is already pursuing her for quite a while. They decided to keep it a secret for now because they wanted it low-key.

"Let the media and people think what they think. We cannot force their belief on what they see on screen. It might get worse if I decided to speak up about that." Aleah made her point clear to let the media fire up that content. "It might land me more exposure if you think about it." she chuckles. Joanna pinched her. "Ow! That hurts!" she caresses where she was pinched.

"Yeah it might get you an exposure, but in a negative set up!" Joanna stressed.

"Relax will you, Linda didn't even scold me about it, only you." she faced her. "It's not like I didn't know that Karltzy is currently making a move at you." and with that, Joanna's advices backfired on her.

"Fine, but make sure to be safe. After all, you also have a career on your own."

"I know, this is actually the first time that my name was linked to a romantic sight. There's a first for everything."

IT IS THE AWAITED final game of the ranking game. Kairi is nervous but headstrong because of the encouragement he received from his friends, coach, team, and especially Aleah. She apologized that she could not watch it live because she has a scheduled shoot for Nike and an advertisement campaign with UNICEF. Kairi felt a little disappointed but his mind is set on winning for their bet.

"Kairi, are you ready?" Coach Yeb asked. Kairi nods, Coach Yeb taps his shoulders for motivation. Then, he finally walked towards the stage.

'I can do this.' He thought to himself. The crowd went wild as he showed himself at the big screen, Emcees are introducing him, and his teammates cheered for him.

Hello~ I was surprised with how many reads it was when I randomly opened my account. I had been busy with school and more, I didn't expect that this story will gain a lot of readers lol!
