CHAPTER 19

3rd Person's POV

"Aleah, come play with me~" Maria whispered.

Aleah glared at Maria who acted like a baby. They are currently waiting for the representatives of MLBB. They are invited to a meeting with Moonton because they are chosen to be an ambassadress during the boot camp event. As her manager said.

The representatives had finally arrived, and the meeting had begun. Aleah was listening attentively unlike Maria who was tired of boredom.

"So, we have our chosen models to be the ambassadress of the MLBB Boot Camp event. Aleah and Maria." The speaker introduced them. Both Aleah and Maria stood up bowed slightly and sat down.

"These are the following activities that both of you will cover. It's not that much, we just need your support for this event. That's all."

Aleah looked up at the given folder and could only see that they were willing to compensate a lot and wanted to give them more freedom. She is pleased with the contract, meanwhile, Maria didn't' bat an eye and let her manager do it.

"I think it's good," Aleah whispered to her manager, Linda.

"I think so too." She agreed. Linda also asks a bunch of questions regardless of it just to make sure.

The meeting concluded after 30 minutes because it was only to discuss Aleah and Maria's roles in the MLBB Boot camp.

"I didn't expect that they would call us the day before the event." Linda sighed.

"I thought you knew about it?"

"No, I would have told you in advance if I knew. Even the company was informed late and couldn't decline because the CEO of the game specifically wanted you to be one of the ambassadresses."

Aleah massaged her temple while Linda was sorting out her schedules because there would be a huge change to her activities.

"Although the activities aren't much, my presence must be there, right?" Linda nods. "I also heard that we need to cosplay. Where can I get a costume at this hour?" Aleah was horrified.

"Don't worry about it, as soon as the company called me, I figured that you'd be assigned to cosplay a Hero, so I consulted with Alodia about suggestions and now, we are heading to make your costume."

"And who am I going to cosplay?"

"Who do you want it to be?" Aleah thinks about who she wants to cosplay with.

"Hmm... if I could choose, because of the lack of time and everything, I'm thinking of Ruby's Aspirant skin. Mech Maiden." Aleah recalled the times she was playing the game.

"Understood, I'll call all of our stylists if they are available." Linda proceeds to do her job. "Drive faster, please? Time is running."

They arrived at the seamstress and they quickly took Aleah's measurements. The fabrics they will be using are already on the way so the others have proceeded to build the props. Aleah, Linda, and Cory also helped in assembling the props.

"Damn that Moonton management! If I was present at that meeting I would have fought for an additional time!" Cory complained. Aleah quickly shushed her.

"Don't say that. The walls have ears. We do not want any sparks of issues going on. Let's just focus on doing what we can."

Aleah's friend, Maria also called her about the updates of her cosplay. She told her that she would be cosplaying Layla Aspirant Skin to match Aleah.

"Are you sure about that? We have a lack of time about it." Aleah is worried because it is already 7:30 PM and Maria has only just decided about her cosplay.

Maria laughed. "Don't worry, I'm just like you. Our colleagues are willing to help us. I'm sure we could pull this off!" With Maria's optimism, Aleah smiled and felt relieved.

The call had ended, and Aleah jumped back to work for her cosplay. With a trial and error of the props and costume, they had managed to perfect it in the nick of time.

"All that's left is to find matching shoes for it." They are troubled because it's already 11:00 PM.

Cory was staring at the shoes because they looked familiar. She gasped when she remembered it.

"I remember! Aleah has one of those! It was gifted by Gucci!" All eyes looked at her.

"Can you fetch it for us?" Linda asked her. Cory nodded and Aleah instructed the driver to drive safely.

While waiting, Aleah tried on the costume and the seamstress altered what had to be done. Linda was busy looking for a wig for Aleah's hair but Aleah stopped her.

"It would already be too late if we scroll more. Let us use my hair instead." Aleah proposed. Linda was petrified by what Aleah had suggested.

"No! your precious hair might get damaged!" Linda strongly disagreed to it. but Aleah smiled at her.

"It will be fine. I also wanted to try dyeing my hair once. This will be the first time. Also, it won't hurt to dye it once, right?"

Linda tried to convince Aleah, but she only brushed off Linda's plea.

"I'm sorry, Linda. But I wanted to try it. it's much better than regretting it."

Linda had no choice but to accept it. She called Aleah's trusted stylist and told her what Aleah wanted. The stylist quickly flew to them and started to dye Aleah's hair.

Cory was also just in time when the stylist was starting to dye Aleah's hair. Linda checked the shoes, and they were like a replica of it.

"I told you it was a similar style." Cory was proud.

"Thank you, Cory." Aleah was happy that her costume was completed. The only thing that's left is her hair and her Scythe.

"Don't worry Aleah, your Scythe will be finished in a while. You can just rest for now. It's not good if you went to the event with dry skin."

"Yeah, leave it to us!"

Aleah smiled and nodded. She quickly dozed off to which almost all of the people present knew for her eyes and facial expression. Linda managed to do a whole skincare routine for a sleeping Aleah while the stylist was careful not to wake Aleah up. Cory who is now busy helping in building Aleah's headdress and ornaments.
