3rd person's pov

"Um.. Hi?" Aleah broked the silence and they came back to reality.

"Oh my god, and here I was begging her management to be our model and I just came to know that she's your friend?" Boss Tryke couldn't believe what he just heard. "I almost cried when I got rejected!"

"Um.. I'm sorry about that. Moonton had already invited me and I figured that I would accept it then your offer came into the table. And truthfully, I would rather be an audience and enjoy the bootcamp than having a responsibility. I saw the schedule of activities and it didn't align with my schedules. I apologize again." She clasped her hands and bowed.

Boss Tryke then realized that she really has a tight schedule, and he was guilty of blurting out saying things. After all, they were the ones who asked for her presence, not her.

"No, no. I was just overreacting." He nervously denied. "It's not your fault, we were just careless. We were overconfident that you would accept our invite, but don't worry, everything has been sorted out." He added.

Aleah apologetically smiled. "I am glad that you understand my situation and decision." Kairi was still in a daze of Aleah personally.

'I can't see her face but I can sense her aura is gentle but intimidating.' Kairi thought. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her.

"Who did you guys pick to be your model anyway?" Alodia asked. Boss Tryke and his staffs looked at each other.

"We picked the one of the famous mlbb content creator, I think it was Shaira Ortile." One of the staff answered.

"We asked for other opinions and came up with this solution because there will also be a showdown of the models by battling. So, we had decided that she will be our model." Boss Tryke explained.

"I think that's a safe move knowing that you've carefully picked her." Kairi commented.

"But not as hasty as they begged Aleah to be their model." Alodia also commented with a teasing tone.

"Enough with that, I've been embarrassed enough." Boss Tryke coughs. Aleah just giggled. Kairi bit his lower lip as his heart fluttered.

"The conference is about to begin shortly. Let's go?" They then all went to the room where the press conference would be held.

As they arrived, they were assigned to be seated together per Boss Tryke's request. Alodia told Aleah that she will be accepting some interview and reminded her to stay in her seat.

"Kairi, are you not accepting any interview?" Kairi shook his head. "Can I trust you to watch over Aleah for a while? I'll just wrap up some interviews." Kairi nods awkwardly while stealing a glance on Aleah.

"Just go already, Ate Alodia. I'm not a kid to take care of." Aleah grunts but smiling.

"Yeah, but I still need to make sure because your manager will skin me alive if you were to be discovered here." She shuddered on the thought. Aleah puffed like a pufferfish in response. As Alodia left her there with Kairi, there was awkwardness on the atmosphere.

Kairi is worrying that he will not make an impression on her. But at the same time, he was figuring that he was having a crush on her. He blushed at that thought. While he is battling his inner conscience, Aleah was looking around the room with full of people.

Kairi managed to strike up a conversation. "Um.. Can I ask you of something?" he asked. Aleah turned to him.

"Are you referring to me?" Her tone of voice was angelic. Kairi nodded fast. "You don't have to be nervous, what is it?" He felt more nervous as she could see that he was trying to keep his composure. Aleah thought it was funny and tried to hide her laugh.

"I was thinking if you also play Mobile Legends?" he asked. Aleah nodded.

"I did play that game, but I quit playing so you could say that I'm a retired player."

"Why did you quit playing?"

"I was fed up with toxic players and the game almost gave me therapy. Is this an interview?" she chuckled.

"I was curious because I was surprised that you're also here for the conference."

"Ate Alodia invited me here. I was supposed to enjoy here in Tagaytay but here I am." She sighed. "But I was excited to be here because I thought that I would meet some professional players here and I was right! I just didn't expect that you're the first professional player that I would meet."

Hearing this, Kairi tried to hide his smile but couldn't, his ears were red as a tomato and Aleah could observe that. She suddenly thought of something.

"Why are you also here though? I overheard my friends that you were here for a vacation, but I didn't expect that you're here hanging out with the Blacklist team, and there are rumors circulating that you have a girlfriend there in Indonesia." Aleah giggled. Kairi scratched his head.
