3rd Person's Pov

"The ranking games are in three days, right?" Joanna suddenly mentioned.

'Ranking games?' Aleah thought.

"What's a ranking game?" Maria asked.

Aleah is also curious what is that, Karltzy who had just arrived sat beside Maria. Yawi began explaining what is a ranking game to Maria.

Ranking game is an individual method to showcase the players' skills towards their preferred role. For example, the player's forte is Jungle, so the system will select a random hero for him will battle against another player with the same hero that was randomly picked. It is also an evaluation for the players to know how quickly they can adapt to an unexpected pick on a Hero.

"So that's why you've been practicing all of the Tank type heroes." Maria understood how the game works.

"What happens when you lose the game?"

Renejay suddenly popped out of nowhere. "your ranking points will decrease and will have a hard time climbing on it." They looked at him.

"What do you mean having a hard time?" Maria asked. Renejay pulled a chair and sat on it. "Well, as what our coach briefed us earlier, the more we lose points, the harder we get to earn them back as it would have corresponding points that we can earn if we lost before."

"Let's say that we can earn a little if we win, and will lose big if we got defeated." Joanna slowly nodded and pursed her lips. "That would be bad if you lose points."

"Yeah, that bad." Aleah suddenly had a question on her mind. "Does this goes the same as the Support and Tank role? That's quite complicated." Her lips curled up.

"No, no. there will be another test for them. Although that would be hilarious if they would do that. After all, the test will be how durable your tank and support is." They laughed.

They saw that the representative of the event is approaching them, they smiled and waved. The representative waved also waved at them.

As things moved fast as the rankings started taking place, Aleah and Kairi grew closer, Joanna and Yawi began to have something, and Maria is going strong on her way.

Aleah and Kairi are hanging out while doing their own thing; Aleah sketching on her sketchpad and Kairi practicing his gameplay.

It was a quiet afternoon for them, but they didn't mind it as their comfortable with each other's presence.

"Kairi, when is your ranking games?" Aleah asked. Kairi took a few moments to respond.

"The day after tomorrow, I think. They are still finalizing the brackets and will be revealed tomorrow at the first day."

"Hm.. I'm a bit curious, are you confident that you can win?" She followed up a question. She stared at him while he just finished his game. He puts down his phone and tilted his head at her.

"It depends on how my condition is by that game." He answered. 'I must win though.' he thought to himself.

"Shall we make a bet then?" Aleah suddenly suggested. Kairi looked at her.

"What bet?"

Aleah grinned. "If I win, I'll give you something."

"And if I win?"

"You get one wish." At that moment. Kairi felt his body fired up and the urge to win whatever it took.

"Deal. You better not back out." Kairi said while narrowing his eyes. Aleah chuckled.

"I never go back on my word, you know."
