CHAPTER 25

3rd Person's Pov

Joanna and Maria is currently interrogating Aleah of what had happened last night. They were surprised when they saw Aleah and Kairi together and wanted to know what is happening.

"It was nothing! Kairi was just walking me back at the hotel room." Aleah defended. But the two weren't even convinced.

"Then what happened before he was walking you home?"

"Don't tell me, is he pursuing you?" Joanna then squealed. Aleah sighs in frustration because it stresses her out.

"Like I told you, we just watched a movie in the cinema and ate. Okay?!" She almost yelled. But they are currently having breakfast together.

Maria and Joanna didn't have the time to interrogate her last night because they were in a hurry.

"Now, now, don't be shy~" Maria teased. "We somewhat had an instinct that Kairi likes you from how he looks at you."

"Also, he approached us first just to know what your preferences are, which gives us more hints," Joanna said while closing her eyes and nodding. Aleah felt bashful as Joanna and Maria still complimented Kairi.

"I don't think Kairi is the type of person that has a 'player sickness.' Right? He's a good man from what I heard."

"We can't be too sure of that, let's gather more information for precautions," Joanna said. Maria also agreed. "You're coming with us too." Aleah furrowed her eyebrows.

"I have work." She replied. Joanna tsk and shakes her index finger. "Nope, I already called Linda for that matter." Maria gives her a sheepish smile. Aleah had a bad feeling about their plans.

"Oh, Kairi? He's a good kid."

"He would only grind, stream, or stay in his room."

"He's quite shy, but has good friends."

"I don't remember that he interacted with other girls."

"Never seen him interact, if he would then I'm positive that it's about his work or career."

All of the feedback they received about Kairi is positive. It made them a bit suspicious and decided to ask Edward.

But, Edward couldn't help but praise Kairi when it came to his play style. And as a friend he was, he also criticized his character.

"He is just couldn't express himself well to the girl he likes. He would also tend to overdo things. Also, he's quite funny when he's in love because he likes to spend thousands on the person he likes. Almost like a sugar daddy."

"I could also vouch for him that he has a good personality. He is just shy and would tend to stutter when being pressured in media." Renejay butts in.

Aleah hid her smile as she could feel that the people around them adored Kairi. Maria and Joanna concluded that they would give Kairi the chance to pursue Aleah.

"Now that it's final, let's just let their story flow."

"Anyway, I haven't seen Kairi all day. Where is he?" Maria looks around.

"Hey Yawi!" Joanna suddenly yelled as she called Yawi who had just got inside. Yawi jolted and looked at them. He smiled, waved, and jogged towards them.

"Hey, what's up?" he asked. He grabbed a chair and sat beside Joanna.

"Where's Kairi?"

"We haven't seen him today," Maria added. Yawi pointed at the door where he entered. Seconds later, the door opened revealing him and his team.

"There he is," Maria whispered to Aleah, teasing her with her elbow. "Stop it!" Aleah's face grimaced and slapped Maria's elbow.

"Kairi!" Yawi called him. He looked and saw Aleah. He smiled and looked back at the Coach who was talking to him.
