Chapter 36

"Sheen May?"

Umigting ang panga ko. I heard him say goodbye to her and even say he loved her in front of me.

Lumapit siya sa akin pero hinarang ko ang kamay ko sa kaniya. "You don't need to explain," I said in response as I fought back the tears that were about to fall, but these people are traitors just like he was.

"Sheen May, I—" muli niyang tawag sa akin.

"I said you don't need to explain!" I let out a yell. My soul is aching with grief, and I am suffering from intense discomfort.

"Sheen may let me just—" He made an attempt to cling to my arms, but I was able to escape his grasp. I was making an effort to compose myself, but I looked so distraught. I was able to hold back the tears long enough to attempt a grin. "I know! Alam kong kasama mo si Quency, dahil kasama ko si Rod kanina!"

"What do you mean?" Mukhang nainis siya sa sinabi ko at kasabay no'n ay ang pagkagulat. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko nang mahigpit. "Sheen May, what do you mean you two were together?"

"What do you think I mean?" I sarcastically asked throwing him the same question. Of course, what I want to say is that I am aware that he is lying due to the fact that Rod was with me. Nakita ko siyang lumunok. So that's how he looks kapag nabibisto sa mga kagaguhang ginagawa niya sa akin.

"Saan kayo pumunta?" Tanong pa niya. He rumbled, and the muscles in his jaw began to twitch.

I clenched my teeth, but my tears were like rivers. My throat is itching now, just like my nose, too. "Anong pakialam mo? Did I even bother to ask you where you and Quency went, at kung bakit mukhang pagod na pagod ka?" pabalang kong sagot na ikinainis niya.

"So kaya rin ba pagod ka ngayon? Did you do it with him?"

Kumunot ang noo ko. What does he mean? Lumakas ang kabog ng puso ko. I was shocked as I glanced at him. 

"What are you saying?" I asked in disbelief. I saw anger written all over his flushed face, but my current concern is that he is trying to blame everything to me.

"Is there something between you and my friend, kaya paulit-ulit mong sinasabi na kumustahin ko siya para sa 'yo?"

Nagsalubong lalo ang mga kilay ko. "What in the world are you talking about?"

"Did you have sex with him?!"

That brought a gasp out of me. The gall of this man to accuse me of such!

"W-What?" I inquired out of shock. "Ano ba 'yang ibinibintang mo? We were just playing bowling earlier. Jhon Rey, you are the one who is sneakily doing that behind my back! Pero wala ka namang narinig sa akin. Ni hindi kita pinipigilan!"

"And for what purpose? So that I won't stand in the way of you having sexual encounters with other people? Totoo bang bowling ang ginawa niyo kanina o may iba pa?"

"What?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko. "I would never do something like that! Aren't you aware how foolishly I'm in love with you?!"

I could not believe it.

I was completely speechless for a brief moment.

My emotions are so out of control, and I just can't seem to hold back the tears any longer. It hurts my feelings to hear him accuse me of disloyalty when all I've done is give him what he wants, to satisfy his desires.

It's hard for me to think that all of my hard work has been for nothing.

Hinila niya ako at iniharap sa kaniya."Foolishly in love with me? Ginagago mo ba ako?" tanong niya pa na hindi ko na kinaya.
