Rich pov
I dont know what got into me last night. It scared me and I know it scared adele. My goal is to never hurt her and I know I did. I tried to sexually attack her. When we got married her mom made me promise her that I would never hurt adele and I feel like i broke that promise last night.
When I woke up this morning Adele was already up. I want to talk to her about last night because she seems off which is understandable.
I finally got out of bed and made my way down stairs where adele was.
R "good morning babe"
A "hey" i go into kiss her and she moves her body away from me
R "what's wrong"
A "last night"
R "oh baby you know I didn't mean it. I feel terrible. When we got married your mom had me promise her that I would never hurt you and I woke up this morning knowing I broke that. I really am sorry baby and you know it will never happen again. I don't know what happened to me." She had tears streaming down her face and I just stood there like the coward i am.
A "thats not how you deal with stress. You aren't a kid anymore Rich you cant do that."
R "I understand. I love you"
A "i love you too. My mom and dad are dropping off the kids in ten minutes."
I kiss her and she kisses me back. I love this woman and i hate that i hurt her.
Penny just got here and the kids were so happy to see Adele and i.
P "so how was your night last night?" Adele looked at me and i took that as her way of telling me to leave.
I went into the living room with the girls while Mark, Penny and Adele were in the kitchen.
Adele pov
P "so how was your night last night?" I look at Rich and he leaves to go hangout with the girls
P "oh god what happened?"
A "it was terrible"
M "why?"
A "you know how i was telling you that rich has been acting strange since our dinner?"
P and M "yeah"
A "well i went and talked to him and he lost his shit and said that he missing his parents and it feels different and then he said that it was because it was our last baby and his parents never got to experience this with us."
P "how did he lose his shit?"
A "well he pushed me down on the bed and started ripping of my clothes and when i started asking him what he was doing and he said that he wasn't stoping until he got what he wanted." I started crying because im honestly worried
M "and what was his goal?"
A "to get his parents back." I said that almost in a whisper.
P "that not possible"
A "thats what I told him and he finally stoped."
M "he tried to rape you."
A "im aware"
P "did he say anything after"
A "we were talking and then Brandie called and said that she was in LA and wanted to see us so we didnt talk until this morning."
P "and what did he say then."
A "he said that he knows what he did was wrong and if he could go back and change it he would but he says that he had no control over his body."
M "did he say anything else."
A "yeah um he said that on our wedding day that you mom made him promise that he would never hurt me and he woke up this morning knowing he did and he felt terrible about it."
P "yeah i did make him do that"
M "so what are you going to do?"
A "i don't know. I love him so much and he is the father of my children but im scared. What if this happens again."
M "i will be right back."
A "no dad don't"
M "adele you are my daughter im going to do whats best for you."
Mark pov
I walked into the living room and found rich.
M "girls go play in your playroom i wanted to talk to your dad."
Amelia "okay grandpa."
Adeline "okay"
Once i knew they were in there i sat down next to rich who is no looking down at the floor.
M "you know why im here?"
R "because i did some pretty fucked up things to your daughter."
M "yeah you did. Look man I've done the same shit and to this day i regret it and I don't want that for you."
R "I don't want that either."
M "so don't let it happen. You know adele is there for you no matter what."
R "i know thank you."
M "i better not hear anything else about this."
R "you wont I promise."
