"As of right now, Piltover and Zaun have been placed on lockdown. The people of both places have either fled before the lockdown or have found the proper shelter. There's no good reason why Demacia decided to attack now, but 100-130 have been found dead. Most of them are in Zaun. If you are in both of these cities, you need to evacuate immediately."

Vi turned off the tv. Ekko and Powder were helping each other with homework and Benzo was working on his computer, "What's the point?" Vi asked him.

"I'm cancelling orders," Benzo said, "people ask for a lot."

"Heard anything?"

"Not from your brothers and not from Vander."

"Caitlyn?"

"She rarely contacts me, so no."

"Shit," Vi said under her breath.

"Your girlfriend's gonna be okay," Powder said, "She's actually really brave, if you ask me. She's also not cocky about it. The cocky ones that think they're brave are the ones that die first. She's selfless and thinks she's weak. I'm sure she'll surprise herself and get Vander and the boys home just fine."

"She's smart too," Ekko said, "Vi, Caitlyn's gonna be fine. The Demacians may not be as strong as we think. This will all be gone soon."

The bomb landings had calmed down just enough for Caitlyn to slip her way into Piltover. Zaun had it the worst. There was damage in Piltover but not as much. Caitlyn had to focus because everyone had either evacuated or they had hid in their homes. It wasn't like she could squeeze her way through a crowd. Caitlyn was doing pretty well until a notification went off on her phone, "Are you kidding me?" She asked herself as she pull the phone out of her back pocket and put it on silent.

"Piece of..." Before she finished that sentence she saw Vi's name on the screen and the amount of unread text messages. Caitlyn felt a small rush of guilt because she had to leave her partner behind. Caitlyn knew that Vi was probably losing her mind right now without her there because they both knew she wasn't safe right now. Caitlyn kept looking at the name until she heard some voices and quickly put the phone away. One of them was an Australian accent and the other was a more Boston-like accent.

"What the hell are we even doing here?" One of the voices asked, "I mean, this has gotta be the most pointless attack. Them Crownguards should've left these people alone."

"Noted," said the other, "This city's doing a lot better than the others right now. Zaun too. You know they got a hospital down there now?"

"That's the drug money. The addicts know that if there's a hospital nearby, then that's free Narcan and that's their shield."

"There's not much drug money after Silco and his goons went missing. Thank god. I was sick of hearing about that bullshit."

"The shimmer or the greedy asshole?"

"Both?"

Caitlyn peaked around the building see two Demacian soldiers sharing a cigarette. They laughed a little before continuing their conversation, "These two places have been doing well these past few years. Why attack them now? That's all I'm saying."

"This sounds a little familiar."

"Familiar to what?"

"To World War Two, moron. You know how Hitler had a plan to take over the world and when it failed, he... Y'know... killed himself."

Caitlyn honestly felt like laughing at these soldiers. They were being reasonable but the way they were stating their reasoning was hilarious, "These people are not Jews, the Crownguards probably attacked these two cities because they were afraid to admit they're doing a lot better than them." One of the soldiers continued.
