Five months later

Sadly since Caitlyn found out about her pregnancy, the furthest away from her bed she had been was the bar downstairs. She hadn't really gone into the basement either. Some days she had the energy to work, and other days she didn't. She would apologize to Vi over and over again for her lack of motivation saying that she felt lazy. And Vi would tell her over and over again that it was okay.

Recently, her showers went from everyday to every other day. One day, she stepped out of the shower and looked into the mirror. Something seemed off with her appearance other than the obvious bags under her eyes. She had already noticed her breasts had gotten bigger a few weeks ago, so it wasn't that.

"Hey, you okay?" Vi asked, standing in the doorway.

"Is something off to you?" Caitlyn asked, still looking in the mirror, "I feel as if I look a bit more different."

"There's nothing particularly wrong about it."

"So I do look different?"

"You're pregnant, it's normal to look different."

Then she looked down. That's when she saw it. The baby bump. She pulled her shirt up a little so she could see it a little more, "Wow," she said under her breath.

She could see Vi smile a little, "Holy shit," she said, walking closer. She placed her hands on Caitlyn's waist, allowing her thumbs to rest on her stomach. Caitlyn began to cry because of the hormones and Vi began to cry because she was genuinely happy. This was the kind of change they needed even if it was a little soon.

Vi then spoke again, "I think it might be time to go to the doctor now," she said, resting her forehead on Caitlyn's.

"Are you carrying me there?" The shooter asked.

"I'll at least drive you there and stay with you. I think it would be weird if I just held you the whole time."

Caitlyn groaned, "You're calling to make the appointment then. You're driving me there and you're checking me in."

"I'm completely fine with that. Now go to bed, it's like ten o'clock." Vi kissed her girlfriend's forehead.

"The bar isn't closed yet."

"It is for you."

"What did I tell you? It makes me feel productive because I've felt miserable and lazy lately."

"You're not lazy-"

"I feel that way! Just one more hour!" Caitlyn whined, "Please?"

"You have exactly an hour."

"I'll look at the clock, I promise."

"You never look at the clock."

"I will this time." Caitlyn said, leaving the bathroom. At this time on a Wednesday night, there were only four to five people in the bar so she wouldn't be doing much. She just had to feel like she was actually doing something or she would feel like a burden on people.

"That waiting room was awful," Caitlyn groaned, sitting on the examination table, "It felt way too long."

The sonographer chuckled, "Things seem to take forever when you're pregnant," she said.

Then Vi spoke up, "This is the same woman who said she doesn't look at clocks a few months ago."

"I wasn't growing a human a few months ago."

"Well, we're gonna look and check on that human you're growing."

"That sounds weird when you put it like that..."

"Do you mind pulling your shirt up a little? I have to put the gel on your stomach."

"How many movies have I seen with ultrasounds in them and yet I have no idea what I'm doing?"

"How many hours of sleep have you gotten in the past two days?"

Caitlyn rolled her eyes and pulled up her shirt, revealing the slight baby bump she had. The gel was probably the coldest thing she had ever felt in her life. Not even Noxian winters were this cold, it felt like. The sonographer explained that she would use a "transducer" to look around on the inside too see if the baby is breathing properly. She had the screen turned away until she finally found what she was looking for.

"Everything looks very healthy so far," she said.

Vi moved to the side of the table to look at the screen as well. She smiled and held Caitlyn's hand as they looked together. It was a sweet moment until it suddenly turned awkward.

"Oh, my..." The sonographer said. She slightly moved the transducer again, "I think there's another."

Caitlyn jumped up a little, "You think or you know?"

"Wow, there is. Looks like you've got twins."

The shooter then turned to her girlfriend. She smiled and gritted her teeth, "What did you do to me?"

Vi began to nervously laugh, "It seems like they're growing just fine," she said, "We actually have a thing to get to."

"A thing?"

"Yes! A thing!"

The sonographer moved the transducer off to the side and got a paper towel to wipe of the gel from Caitlyn's stomach, "She is expected to come back in the next six weeks."

"Do I have to?" Caitlyn asked, pulling her shirt back down and sitting up.

"It's expected because anything could happen at any time. Especially with twins. One could get absorbed, they can become conjoined, anything could happen."

"Let's hope you have a fast forward button to when the little shits are out of me."

"I don't have that, I'm sorry."

"Nice. Thank you anyway."

Caitlyn grabbed her jacket and walked out of the room. Vi smiled at the sonographer and thanked her before following her girlfriend outside.

"Caitlyn, don't freak out," She said as they walked out of the building.

"Are you carrying them, Vi? No!" Caitlyn snapped.

"Okay, I understand that, but it's only gonna make things worse if you freak out-"

"I'm freaking out because I'm scared, Vi! I've been scared this whole time! Anything could happen between now and then, hell, even after I push it or them out for that matter. I really need people to be patient with me because I'm still trying to take in the fact that I'm pregnant even if it's already been five months." She then walked off to the car.

"Shit," Vi said to herself.
