Vi hadn't exactly spoke after the dinner. Caitlyn understood why, so she made sure not to pressure her too much on the way home. How could Ambessa just say "I'm surprised you made it this long" and move on? Now, the shooter could see the worry in the fighter's face.
Caitlyn had caught Vi placing Anthony down in his crib and kissing his forehead. She smiled before speaking to her, "Violet, are you alright?" She asked.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Vi asked in return. They stepped outside the bedroom, leaving the twins to sleep. "I mean, I'm not upset or anything about what Ambessa said. She was right. Most teens don't make it this long."
"I know- you just... you seem upset."
"I'm not upset, Cait. I just didn't know how to take it at first, you know me. I wouldn't be upset at you specifically if I was."
"I would hope not."
"I wouldn't. I promise. Come here," Vi opened her arms, signaling Cait to hug her. She kissed the top of her fiancé's head as Powder walked by.
"I'm so glad you two decided to do that outside of the bedroom," she remarked. "Young eyes."
"Shut up," Vi said to her as Caitlyn giggled a bit. The young girl walked off as Vi looked into the bedroom to see the two babies sleeping soundly in their cribs.
"We need more pictures of them," Caitlyn said, her head leaning on Vi's shoulder. "We could make a photo album for when they get older. Then we can embarrass them."
"You know what? That's a perfect idea."

Just a few days later, Caitlyn had invited Nico over to the bar so that they could speak on specific matters. Those matters being the complete remolding of the childhood Manor that was left abandoned. Nico had an IPad in his hands along with a closed laptop nearby.
Vi, however, kept put behind the bar where Caitlyn had told her to. "Behave, Violet," the woman had told her teasingly. Vi only rolled her eyes and obeyed. She had to. This was their future Caitlyn was dealing with. For them. The babies who were still unbroken skin. The family they had started together. The life.
The fighter made sure to eavesdrop on things every once in a while as she served drinks near the table her fiancé and Nico were sitting at.
"You've mentioned something similar to the original design," Nico began, showing Caitlyn the 3D design he had made. "It's nowhere near the original design, structure wise."
"I can tell," Caitlyn said. "I mean, you've done great. It looks very..."
"Like a Mafia house?"
The shooter paused for a moment then smiled, "Sure. Like a mafia house. Very nice. What's the computer for though?"
"Oh, right. See, I design the 3D exterior model of the prototype on the IPad then I transfer it to my computer and design the interior model. What I'm showing you right now, there's so interior, this is just what I have for the exterior."
"How come you can't do the interior on the IPad though?"
"Because I have to used images that I wouldn't be able to find on the IPad."
"That's actually really interesting. And how long is this supposed to take?"
"Let's just say your kids are gonna be pretty coherent of life by the time it's completely done. But if my workers and I work on it during banking hours, it'll be livable in about two weeks."
