Recently, Caitlyn had been more into the mood to at least take walks. She typically had someone to walk with her in case anything were to happen to her.

One day, after walking with Powder after her school day, Caitlyn had received a letter. Very rarely did they get anything in the mail, but this was something different. Caitlyn could tell it was from Piltover just because of the material of the envelope. It was from one of two people, Jayce or Sheriff Grayson.

Dear Caitlyn,

The council is throwing a ball and I have requested to invite you. Given your current circumstances, you are allowed to bring at least one other person with you and if you are unable to attend, this is alright as well. I feel as if this is more convenient for business and it won't look suspicious on either one of our parts.

Sincerely,
Mr. Jayce Talis

"What is it?" Vi asked as Caitlyn placed the letter back into the envelope.

"I have been invited to a... cocktail party, if you would like to call it that. It's in Piltover, so they call it a ball," Caitlyn explained.

"Are you gonna go?"

"You know what? I am. I am going to go to this stupid party and you're going to come with me."

"I am?"

"Yes, you are. I am allowed to bring you."

"Who invited you? The sheriff?"

"No, Jayce Talis invited me. He is a council member."

"Why the hell would he invite you? He barely knows you."

"He has something that belongs to me. I believe you know what I speak of."

"Oh... that..."

"Yes. That."

Vi's face then lit up, "Does this mean I get to see you in that skin tight dress you ordered a few weeks ago?"

"Yes, given that is the only decent outfit that will fit me right now." That was when Caitlyn had a thought of her own, "This means I get to see you in something formal for once. A button up and jeans that you've worn on our past dates do not exactly count."

"Why didn't you say anything?"

"Because a date isn't about dressing formal and eating at a fancy restaurant all the time. Now, do you have any sort of formal wear?"

"Good question... no."

Caitlyn then proceeded to shove the envelope and Vi's hands and go to the living room. There, Mylo and Claggor were sitting on the loveseat on their phones, Powder was working on a small art project for class, and Vander was on the phone with someone. He got off the phone soon after Caitlyn entered the room.

"You never got Vi any formal wear?" She asked him.

"She never got any formal wear," Vander said as Powder jumped up.

"We all have nicer clothes except for Vi," she said, "Mylo too but he tried."

Caitlyn turned to look at Vi, "I never thought I'd see the day where I would have to take you shopping."
