It was night -
Arnav who slept sitting on the floor itself got up and saw Arush was awake and now looking at the ceiling silently.
Arnav - Hey Arush.... You got up ?
Arnav touched his son's soft cheek and kissed it.
Arnav - Is my baby ok now ?
Arush made sounds looking at Arnav. Arnav smiled and went out. Calling the only security available there, he asked him to bring milk for Arush as he didn't feel it right to take Arush to Kushi and ask her to feed him. He didn't know if Arush would even have that or not.
In a few minutes Security came back with milk and feeder bottle for Arush. Arnav fed Arush and seems like his little munchkin is very hungry and finished the milk without fussing much. Patting him for a few minutes, he put Arush to sleep. He inspected him for fever or swelling. His tiny bud had a light swelling where he was vaccinated. He sighed and guarded him with pillows and went in search of his wife.
He saw that HP and Mohan were waiting there after keeping their luggage.
Arnav - HP, Mohan these are all only our things right ?
HP - Haan Bhaiya.... I packed your things. My wife packed Bhabhi and Arush Baba's things.
Arnav - Ok. Keep all this in the upstairs room and go.....
HP - Bhaiya, you had dinner ?
Arnav gave a small smile - I will have HP. After arranging this you may leave.
HP - Aise kaise ? See, I have bought dinner for you and Bhabhi. Have it na Bhaiya....
Arnav - Keep it on the table HP. I will have it later with Kushi. She's sleeping.
HP nodded and kept their dinner on the table. Then both HP and Mohan started taking their luggage upstairs. Arnav went and opened the door of every room trying to spot Kushi.
At last he found her in one room and her state twisted his heart. She was lying on the floor curled up like a ball. Tear strains still visible on her chubby cheeks.
He walked near and kneeled before her and her indirect words ' I thought I would' rang in his ears. Tears formed in his eyes.
How is he going to make things better ?
Arush or Kushi ?
Whom should he give priority now ?
Lifting her in his arms gently, he laid her on the bed and covered her with a quilt.
As he walked out, HP and Mohan were done arranging all the luggage in the upstairs master bedroom. And informing Arnav they went back to Shantivan.
Arnav went and laid on the bed beside Arush who was still awake.
Arnav - I don't know what's happening Arush..... Give me some time. I promise, Papa will make everything right.
His phone rang gaining both Arnav and Arush's attention.
Arnav picked his phone to see that it was from Aman.
Arnav - Haan Aman....
Aman - Arnie, the issue is sorted. Tomorrow we will start the production.
Arnav - Hmm.
Aman frowned - Arnie is everything ok ? Kushi and Arush is fine na ? Actually you went home hurriedly.... Thought to ask you once.
Arnav closed his eyes and lone tears escaped from his eyes.
Arnav - I left Shantivan.
Aman frowned - What ?
