Chapter 10: The Strangest Couple

(3rd Person POV)

Synopsis: IceT finds Iscream at Crafty Corner again, but this time they're with a new companion...

              The chatter of customers filled the shop as IceT went about, assisting anyone who needed it. Today looked like it was going to be another simple day of gaining profit and satisfying people.

However, whilst the mouse was walking around, she took notice of a pair of white bunny ears and didn't need to ponder about who it was.

Ever since their first encounter, Iscream had stayed true to their word about coming back to Crafty Corner and causing more chaos.

At least once a week, they would come inside and try to wreak havoc in small ways, whether it be from making a mess to switching things around on the shelves, making things rather inconvenient for everyone involved.

In fact, just last week Iscream had bumped into Limon while attempting to wrap yarn all around the owl to trap her. Knowing this, Limon had swiftly pulled out a spray bottle full of water and used it against the bunny, who merely retaliated with a hiss before retreating from their attack.

Well, this time IceT was prepared for them!

Trotting over to Iscream's position, the determined mouse was ready to thwart any nefarious plans the bunny had for today. That is, until she noticed a yellow, goat-like dragon with purple and pink eyes talking with Iscream.

Upon a closer look, it seemed as though the dragon and Iscream were only talking amongst each other as they admired a neat display of beautifully arranged yarn balls.

IceT hadn't known about Iscream having any friends before, which made their visit rather confusing. Were they planning to cause chaos today or did they simply want to spend time with their supposed friend?

Refusing to be deterred, IceT approached the two of them with a smile, wanting to get to the bottom of things. "Hello there! Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Oh, nothing much," The dragon casually replied as they made eye contact with the mouse. "We're mostly window shopping over here. By the way, my name's Fwench Fwy! What's yours?"

"I'm IceT, and I'm the co-manager of Crafty Corner here," She replied, looking at Iscream confusedly as if to ask, "What're they doing here with you of all people?!"

"Anyhow, I've been meaning to see this cute shop for a while now. After all, I remember looking at this abandoned place and wishing that someone nice would open shop here and bring joy to all who visited," Fwench Fwy commented, looking around at all the various crafts displayed across the store. "It's good to know that my wish came true!"

The mouse blushed from where she stood. "Oh, thank you very much! I don't deserve your praise."

"I'm sure you do," Fwench Fwy replied as they looked over to the bunny next to them. "In fact, I hope you haven't been dealing with any trouble lately, have you?"

Despite this being said to IceT, the mouse felt her response was aimed more towards Iscream, who was now observing the wooden floor with great interest.

"No, I haven't. Things are going swimmingly over here," IceT said, causing the bunny to look up with surprise.

For a moment, IceT had pondered the idea of ratting Iscream out to her friend (no pun intended), but then decided against it, having nothing to gain from revealing the truth. Maybe, the mouse wondered, Iscream might be nicer to me after this.

"Alright then!" French Fwy said cheerily, her ominous presence vanishing as quickly as it came. "For curiosity's sake, are you having any sales anytime soon?"

"Well, we're going to have an early Valentine's day sale in a few days - 14% off on anything in this store that's Valentine-related three days before and on the special day," IceT replied, gesturing to the various heart shaped crafts around the shop.

"I see then," Fwench Fwy said as she leaned close to whisper into IceT's ear. "Don't tell Iscream, but I'm hoping to get them a good gift this year."

Stepping back, the dragon took hold of Iscream's paw (the bunny blushing as they did so) and walked towards the shop's glass doors. "Thanks for helping us out here!"

"No problem!" IceT replied as she opened the doors for them. "Be sure to come back soon!"
