The Adventures of IceT and Limon (A Chikin Nuggit OC Fanfiction)

Chapter 3: An Amigurumi Frog

(3rd person POV)

Synopsis: After assisting Sassparilla and Sody Pop, IceT gets to meet a certain yellow dog and his cheeseburger friend.

              Passing through the various customers and walking with her tail up, IceT went to the wooden shelf she knew contained the Paper Mache kit she was looking for. "I know I saw a Wolf Paper Mache kit in here somewhere!" She thought as she stopped in front of the shelf she was looking for and searched through the numerous boxes. 

Soon, IceT found the kit she was looking for and scurried back to where Sassparilla and Sody Pop were waiting. "Oh, Thank you very much, young lady!" Sassparilla had said after receiving the box with a grin. "By the way, I've just realized I never asked for your name."

"My name's IceT, and I hope you enjoy the art of Paper Mache with your son!" The mouse replied as she smiled at the two red pandas before leaving them to check up on anyone else who needed her. 

As the day went on, IceT encountered many different kinds of animals who had come to her shop for many reasons, whether they wanted to simply window shop, look for a new hobby to take up or buy some of the Thanksgiving crafts she made herself for table decorations. Either way, everyone always had something nice to say about the craftsmanship of her work, which made IceT feel more and more confident about her decision to open her shop in the first place. 

Despite Limon and IceT being the only workers in the small shop, they were still able to take breaks when needed and keep everything in line by a miracle. She hadn't expected so many people to come to Crafty Corner's grand opening, but IceT was happy nonetheless. "It's as if someone blessed this place with good fortune!"

Looking around, IceT caught notice of the same yellow dog she had seen earlier staring at a small, light green crochet amigurumi frog she remembered making some time ago when her shop was in the process of being renovated.  

"He looks kind of interested in that frog. Perhaps I should go talk to him?"

Walking towards him, IceT saw that a calico cat with a cheeseburger hat was present with him as well, talking to him and pointing to the crochet amigurumi frog they were both looking at. Upon coming closer, the two took notice of IceT and smiled at her, she doing the same. "Hello there! My name's IceT. Is there anything I can help you with?" The mouse queried once she had approached them. 

"Oh, hi! My name is Cheezborger, and this is my friend Chikin Nuggit. We were just admiring this frog on the display stand here and were wondering how it was made," The cat replied, gesturing to the yellow dog as she introduced him. Upon being introduced, Chikin shifted his attention from the crochet frog to the brown mouse on his left, and IceT could have sworn that his eyes seemed to sparkle at the sight of her. 

"Well, I crocheted this frog. If you don't know, crocheting is an art and handicraft where you use either yarn, twine, or thread to make crocheted fabric that's created by interlocking loops of yarn or whatever other option you choose with a crochet hook," IceT explained, taking out a crochet kit that was underneath the display stand that the crochet frog was on. 

"You can use this skill to make items like blankets, sweaters, accessories, and much more, including animals like this amigurumi frog you both were looking at. I created this with yarn and thread, and with practice, you both can learn to make crochet projects like this as well!" She said, gesturing to the kit she was holding. 

"Well, thanks for telling us about the art of crocheting!" Cheezborger replied, turning her head to Chikin. "Do you think you're going to buy it?"

The yellow dog seemed to be in a trance looking at IceT but snapped out of it once the question was asked. "Oh, I would, but I don't have any monies with me." 

"Maybe next time then. I hope you both enjoy it!" With that, IceT left them alone and looked around for anyone else in need of her aid. 

Upon doing so, she noticed a white bunny near the shelves stacked with all kinds of confetti, sequins, and glitter who seemed to be wearing a mischievous smile on their face. Curious, IceT went to walk closer to them and introduce herself.
