(3rd Person POV)
Synopsis: It's now Christmastime, and IceT gets to enjoy the holiday season with Limon as they exchange both presents and sentimental moments.
IceT yawned with a stretch as she rose from her small bed and rubbed at her eyes. Looking out the window next to her bed, IceT saw snow falling to the ground, some of which had clung to the edges of her window.
The beauty of it made the mouse smile as she crept off her red comforter and stood up to make her bed. As she did so, it came back to her that today was December 25th, the Christmas day she'd been waiting for.
With her excitement brewing, IceT finished making her bed and quickly went to the stairs to see Limon near their golden-and-red themed Christmas tree as the mouse was halfway down.
"Merry Christmas Limon!" IceT said as she admired the various decorations around the living room and nearby kitchen. "Why didn't you wake me up earlier?"
"Well, I thought you deserved a bit of extra sleep after all the Christmas crafts you had to make last week for Crafty Corner," Limon replied as she got up from where she was kneeling. "They were quite popular with everyone."
"Don't open the presents without me! I'll come down in a few minutes!" IceT instructed as she dashed back up the stairs eagerly.
"I wouldn't dream of it," Limon whispered to herself, happy to be spending Christmas with the one mouse she cared about. Soon, the two of them were at the base of the Christmas tree after they'd washed up.
"Okay, which one of us should go first?" IceT asked, looking at the beautifully wrapped presents and bags surrounding the tree.
"If it's okay with you, I'd like to go first - I'm excited to see what you got me," Limon said in a soft, monotone voice. IceT nodded, handing over from under the tree a rectangular present wrapped in green with a white bow in the middle.
The owl gently opened the present, wanting to preserve as much wrapping paper as possible. Eventually, she unwrapped everything to reveal a quite memorable gift.
It was a (mostly) crocheted picture of her and IceT smiling together in what seemed to be a field of flowers inside a thick picture frame big enough for the artwork IceT had created. Anything in the picture that wasn't crocheted was drawn on paper with marker, like the background of said picture.
Limon stared at the artwork for a while before the mouse next to her had to wave a paw to make sure the owl was still awake. When Limon had snapped out of her trance, she simply put down the picture and hugged IceT with all her might. "Thank you. You have no idea how much this means to me." Limon stated, closing her eyes as IceT returned the embrace. After the moment had passed, IceT reached for her box-shaped present with determination and excitement in her eyes, ready to rip it open to her heart's content.
Unlike her feathered friend, IceT didn't care all that much about preserving any fancy wrapping paper, and so the red, shiny paper was torn to shreds as the yellow bow was tossed aside to uncover a white box amidst all the mess in the room.
Once opened, the box revealed three items inside: The first one that caught IceT's attention was a pink-scented candle that smelled like strawberries (according to the mouse's sense of smell and the label on said candle).
The second gift inside was a beautiful dark brown and golden-striped bow that IceT put on her tail, admiring the bow as her tail swayed back and forth.
The third and final item inside was a mint leaf ear piercing in a small, felt jewelry box that IceT knew would compliment some of the other assorted bows she had in her drawers.
Closing the jewelry box, IceT looked up to her feathered friend and said, "We both really do compliment each other, don't we?"
No other words needed to be shared as the two of them hugged it out once more, IceT's tail wrapping around Limon's body. Their bond was a special one they believed could not be broken, no matter what was thrown their way.
Suddenly, a growling sound was heard from IceT's stomach. Despite having cleaned themselves up a few minutes prior, the two of them were so caught up in their presents that they'd forgotten about having breakfast.
A soft chuckle from Limon caused the mouse's head to face up from the owl's chest. "Alright, what do you wanna eat for Christmas breakfast?"
"I'm thinking pancakes. Lots of pancakes with maple syrup."
"That's what I thought. Help me with getting the ingredients, and I'll let you have thirds."
"Heck Yeah!"
Sincerely, Creative Stream
