Chapter 19: A Bit Of Advice (Part 2)

(3rd Person POV)

Synopsis: After Iscream's declaration, Fwench Fwy helps Chikin sort out his feelings.

                     The immortal wish dragon and yellow, furry dog were left stunned at Iscream's blunt disclosure, not expecting the sudden outburst. "Chikin, is this true?" Fwench Fwy asked, excitement shining in their eyes, their paws on their face in elation as they expected an answer.

Chikin wasn't sure how to respond to them, still somewhat shocked that Iscream was able to quickly call him out. He looked over from the two immortal beings to where IceT was sitting on the grass while her nocturnal friend Limon was standing and doing gestures, perhaps playing a game of charades.

Was he really in love with her?

The more he thought about it, the more enchanting the idea of romantically being with her seemed. Chikin didn't know for sure what qualities he admired in a partner, but IceT seemed to fit the bill for a good one: considerate, a good listener, empathetic and respectful - Chikin was sure he could always feel safe around her the way he did with his friends!

Chikin then noticed as IceT burst out giggling from a gesture Limon did in their game of charades, her orange-bowed tail swaying as she fell on her back in a fit of laughter.

IceT was holding on to her sides with a huge grin present on her face as she cackled hysterically, uncaring about her surroundings as Limon joined in as well in the same manner (albeit more quietly and motionless).

Chikin couldn't physically hear them from his distance, but he only needed to imagine her laughter to have a dear smile appear on his face, losing himself in a daydream as he thought of colorful flowers blooming around her.

A paw on his cheek, Chikin swooned with a sigh and let himself be content for a moment.

As a result, he forgot about the two immortals observing him, eyebrows raised as they looked to where Chikin was staring at. Upon doing so, what they saw was a brown mouse madly cackling like a deranged scientist, imagining bright lightning surrounding said mouse as they took in the sight.

"Wow, I didn't know you were into that-"

"Wait, I recognize her!" Fwench Fwy exclaimed. "That mouse works at Crafty Corner, doesn't she?"

"Yeah, she does..." Chikin responded with a short laugh before snapping back to reality, realizing what the two immortals had figured out. His face turned red and heated up in embarrassment as Chikin hid behind his long ears to conceal himself.

"Oohhh, I didn't mean for you guys to find out!" The flustered dog admitted as he curled in on himself, tucking his furry arms and legs in. "Can you promise not to tell anyone?

"Don't worry, we won't tell a soul. Right, Iscream?" Fwench Fwy promised, a comforting smile directed towards him as they then turned to their demonic partner. "Right, Iscream?"

The bunny was too caught up in their thoughts to fully listen, chuckling evilly as they rubbed their furry paws together with a list of awful schemes coming together in their head.

The wish dragon snapped them out of it with a simple thwack on the head and a glare. "We aren't going to tell anyone about Chikin's crush, right?"

"Oh, suuuuure," Iscream assured with a smirk, the yellow dog peeking past his long ears to see it. "That is, if NO ONE AROUND ALREADY HEARD-"

"Iscream!" Fwench Fwy yelped, a claw over the chaotic being's mouth as they struggled to escape from the dragon's grasp. Chikin hid further behind his long ears in response.

"What? It's only gonna be a matter of time before they find out eventually," The demonic bunny reasoned after using their paws to release themselves from their grip. "Why delay it like Chee did?"

"Because it feels too soon!" The yellow dog quietly cried out in distress, the dragon and bunny now focusing their attention on him with confusion.

"I don't know if I actually like her or if I just think she's nice! We've only met a few times, yet it's been bugging me for days!"

Fwench Fwy sighed as they separated from their partner to confront the anxious dog. "Chikin, I know the feelings you're having seem scary, but you don't have to be worried. From what I've seen in the romantic relationships of mortals, each and every one is different."

"I can't tell you for yourself how you're feeling-"

"But you can," Chikin pointed out, his long ears now resting at his sides instead of in front of his face. "If I wished for it, couldn't you tell me?"

"That's not the point!" Fwench Fwy told him exasperatedly as they threw their paws up to the air, an action they followed with a sigh. "The point is, you may be confused right now, but when the time's right, you'll know."

"Know what?"

"If you truly love her or not," The wish dragon answered with a fond smile. Chikin sat there astonished at the newfound guidance he had received, a fascinated look in his eyes as he took in their words.

"Huh, I wasn't expecting that," Iscream spoke from behind with a sly look, their arm propping them up on the grass as they were laid down. "Guess you chose today to be a fortune cookie, huh?"

"Oh, hush," Fwench Fwy replied with a smirk as they moved back to their former position beside the demonic bunny. Chikin turned away from the two to look back at IceT from the hill they were seated on.

His yellow tail wagged as he settled himself on the grass, smiling as he continued to observe the mouse from where he rested until it was time for him to leave.

Hey everyone, I hope you all are having a good day/night. I just wanted to point out something I'm planning to do for this fanfiction's storyline. 

If you haven't already watched the most recent shorts on the Chikin Nuggit channel, the plot they've been setting up is starting to move a lot faster now, more than I anticipated. 

My OCs are going to play an important part in this fanfic's plot, so I'm planning to alter whatever happens in canon by a little and delay Chikin's isolation arc so that I can flesh out how I want things to go. I hope you all enjoy what I have in store, and may I see you all soon!
