(3rd Person POV)

Synopsis: IceT and Limon get to enjoy lots of bubble wrap after a stressful morning.

The two co-owners of Crafty Corner sighed to themselves after a particularly hard customer had finally left the store, the glass doors closing quietly behind them.

"Can you believe they though they were right JUST because of the motto 'The Customer Is Always Right?'" IceT asked exasperatedly as she leaned onto the wooden register counter with her chin and face.

"Some people, unfortunately, do exist thinking like that," Limon answered, doing the same by folding her brown, feathered wings and laying her head on them. They both stayed that way for a moment until a yellow hedgehog with light orange-tipped spikes approached them.

"Was another demanding client too much today?" He asked, his black and unblinking eyes observing the tired mouse and owl leaning on the register counter.

"You better believe it, MozzaWella Stik," Limon responded, raising her head just slightly to acknowledge the hedgehog. "How was your lunch break?"

MozzaWella rubbed his light orange stomach with his paw to show his satisfaction. "It was good - walking all five blocks was totally worth it!"

"However, I came here to tell you that the delivery trucks full of craft supplies are here. You guys got to sign the official papers before we put the stuff in storage," MozzaWella informed them, IceT and Limon groaning as they did so.

"Alright, let's get this over with," IceT mumbled as she and her feathered friend followed MozzaWella to the back of the store, where they opened the backdoor to be greeted with a lemming dressed in their delivery company's colors, a clipboard and pen in hand.

Limon was the one to sign the clipboard as additional workers took the boxes from the trucks to the inside of Crafty Corner's storage area. Knowing about his co-manager's plight, MozzaWella suggested that they assist in sorting out the packaged supplies while he and the other employees present did their jobs.

"Those delivery guys might be putting the boxes in the storage area, but we'll need someone to help sort them out. You guys should use the break after what happened." Limon and IceT took the opportunity eagerly and went in after the delivery workers.

The inside of Crafty Corner's storage area was somewhat larger than one would expect, as they would see tall, long metal shelves lined with various boxes and packages containing arts-and-crafts materials.

Categorizing where each box was supposed to go and directing the delivery workers was a task IceT and Limon had no problem doing, as there weren't too many packages to put away. Eventually, the two co-managers waved goodbye to the delivery workers leaving as they closed the large doors.

"You know...We could stay a while if we wanted to," Limon wondered out loud, placing a feathered wing on her beak as she said so with furrowed eyebrows.

"But what about the store? Won't they need us in case they encounter another tough customer?"

"I mean, we won't be gone for long, just for a little while. I don't think it'll hurt anyone, right?"

"...You know what, let's do it!" IceT agreed with vigor, pumping her closed fist in the air with a determined expression on her face. "What's the worst that can happen?"

The two decided to start off their peaceful but limited time together by exploring more of the area. "After all, I don't think we've gotten to know this place better!" IceT said to be positive as she gestured to the metal shelves.

As they walked together and struck up a conversation, Limon caught sight of an opened box far back on the shelves filled with untouched bubble wrap simply laying there. Curious, the owl walked over to it, her mouse companion peering over her to catch a glimpse of what intrigued Limon.

"Wow, it's not everyday you see so much bubble wrap untouched and in one place," IceT commented as she too went over with Limon to surround the box.

"I know, right? It's awfully weird."

Picking up a piece of the wrap, Limon popped one small bubble.

Then another. IceT came closer to pop one as well on the opposite side.

As they eyed each other, a mischievous smile appeared on both their faces.

Under a minute, the two of them had quickly gone through half of the bubble wrap sheet, giggling and laughing to each other as they did so.

"When's the last time we did something like this?"

"I have no idea!" IceT yelled with glee as she noticed two longer strips of bubble wrap exposed on the floor, an amusing goal in mind.

She went over to the long strips of bubble wrap, spreading them out so that they were fully unraveled and vertically parallel to each other.

"You up for some competition?"

"You better believe it!" Limon exclaimed as she flew over to the mouse, her spotted wings gliding through the air for a moment before landing in front of the second strip of bubble wrap.

As the two friends spent the next few minutes racing each other on bubble wrap, they were able to unwind from the morning's events until it was no longer on their mind, laughing and enjoying the time being spent with each other.

By the time they returned to their jobs, IceT and Limon were fully calm and relaxed, happy to go through the rest of the day without any trouble.
