The Adventures of IceT and Limon (A Chikin Nuggit OC Fanfiction)

Chapter 2: Assistance

(3rd person POV)

Synopsis: IceT encounters Sassparilla and her son, Sody Pop, and gets to learn about his OC in the process.  

               The animals marveled in wonder and amazement as they took in the cozy and cheerful atmosphere of Crafty Corner, gazing at the many displays of handmade crafts and paper garlands hanging from the wooden ceiling. 

Calm piano music began to play in the background, setting the mood as IceT stepped away from the glass doors and spoke for the crowd making their way inside. "All arts and crafts supplies can be found here, from yarn and stickers to paints and construction paper, along with other handmade crafts that can be bought for perfectly reasonable prices!"

"If any of you need any assistance with locating something or need to ask a question, give a holler and I'll be there to help!" With that, IceT lifted her tail (to avoid it being trampled on) and took a moment to observe the faces of the crowd. 

She could see many different colors and kinds of animals, but one that grabbed her attention was a yellow dog with long ears whose large eyes caught hers. "His face looks kind of blank. Has he ever had a single thought in his life?" IceT wondered to her amusement.  

Remembering that she had a shop to run, IceT began to walk around as she observed the faces of the crowd for anyone who may have needed her assistance. Upon doing so, she noticed a red panda with brown fur (so, not really a red panda) holding the hand of who IceT assumed to be her son as she looked around the array of craft kits on the shelves. 

IceT walked over to the two of them with a smile on her face and eagerness in her voice. "Hello there! Is there anything I can help you with?" 

"Oh, yes!" The mother replied as she looked down at her son. "My name's Sassparilla and I was looking for any activity that could keep my son busy and entertained while I'm gone. Do you have any ideas?"

"I can help with that," IceT replied as she crouched down to the boy's level. "First of all, what's your name?" 

"My name's Sody Pop." The young red panda responded. 

"Sody Pop, is there anything that you can think of that you're interested in? Anything like a favorite animal or hobby?" 

"Oh! I like arts and drawing my OC!" Sody Pop replied with enthusiasm, his expression brightening with a smile. 

"Your OC?"

"It stands for Original Character," the red panda replied as IceT made an "oh" sound. "His name is Night Shade Cataclysm, and he's a Demigod!"

Sody Pop then proceeded to pull out a folded piece of paper, revealing a colorful dog with sparkles and other features such as wings and lots of accessories as IceT admired the picture with great interest. 

"Well, have you tried using paper mache to bring him to life?" IceT queried as she took a nearby paper mache model of a blue jay to show the panda. "I used newspapers and paper mache paste to create this bird. Although the process can take a while, with a bit of parental supervision it's not that hard. In fact, how about I show you a paper mache kit you can use to try and build Night Shade Cataclysm?"

This caused Sody Pop to smile as he folded his drawing again to tuck it back in as Sassparilla gave IceT a smile of gratitude, she returning it. "You two wait here, and I'll go find a Paper Mache kit for the animal you need."
