Chapter 16

Heavy breathing awoke me. I was warm, covered by a thick duvet. I was lying next to Will, his chest gently rising and falling as he slept. I admired his face, pale with soft skin, small features, and his jet black hair covering only his forehead. He also had beautiful eyes, I noticed that earlier today when he woke me. It's odd here, there is no particular sunlight, but I've seen the Moon, and its the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. The last embers of the day were clutching to the window with all its strength. The last remaining light of the day illuminated Will's face, expressionless and unfeeling. I snuggled back under the covers clutching to Will with all my strength. Rory had betrayed my trust. I thought he loved me, as I did. But that soon changed. The way Will looked at me when I entered the dining room when I met everybody was so different to the man I am now snuggling to. He looked like a boy then, jealous of his brother, so young and naïve, yet how I was wrong. He seemed so emotionally strong and he reassured me now when I needed it most. The remainder of the day passed quickly as I admired Will. I delicately ran my fingers on his chest, his soft skin caressing mine. He stirred and turned onto his back, wrapping his arm around me once more. His eyes opened gently and looked at the ceiling for a moment, as if in a daze. I adjusted my head to rest on his shoulder and wrapped my arm around him.

"Good night," I greeted him half jokingly. Will grunted before rubbing his eyes and looking at me. His eyes were so beautiful. They were green, unlike his brother. They stood out in a crowd, I could spot him a mile away. They glared into mine, I practically melted on the spot. He turned onto his side again and looked at me continuously.

"Night," he replied sarcastically.

"Thanks for letting me stay," I said sheepishly. He looked at me, hurt was in his eyes. I cuddled back up to him.

"I'll make sure he never hurts you again," he reassured me.

"Are you going to hurt him?" I asked, gazing back at him.

"If that's what it takes," he responded. Now it was my turn to look hurt. I didn't want any trouble between them. I hate Rory for what he did, but him and Will are brothers.

"He's safe for now, he'll have to come back eventually. Then he isn't safe," Will informed me.

"What's going to happen to him then?" I asked slowly.

"He'll be captured in Rheynold's office to talk, then he'll stand before court, which is basically us," Will informed me. Tears prickled my eyes. He brought this on himself but all this fuss over one person is ridiculous.

"Then we'll decide his fate," he concluded.

"Will I get to ask questions?" I queried.

"If you want," Will replied, his smile beaming back at me, more subtle than normal. I buried my head in his chest.

"I don't want to do it alone," i sobbed. Will hugged me as I sobbed into his chest.

"I'll be with you every step of the way," he promised me. I fought back my remaining tears and looked back into Will's eyes. I reached up and gently stroked his cheek. It was cold yet his skin was inviting to touch. I remembered the last time I felt like this was with Rory. Will wrapped his arms tightly around my waist, continuing to look into my eyes.

"You," I began, "Are the best person I have ever met". Will seemed to blush as I said this. He let go of me and leant up. I lay on my back and Will towered over me, his right arm across my body supporting him. He looked suprised, yet flattered.

"You," I started as I played with his fringe, "Are the only person that has truly been there for me when I needed it. Where were you 6 months ago?" I laughed jokingly as I continued to play with his hair.

"I, was waiting for the right person to sweep off their feet," he responded. He leant closer to me and stroked my cheek with his right hand. He leant closer again until his lips met mine, first gently stroking them, then becoming more needy. I kissed him back uncontollably. I couldn't help but think about my shared kiss with Rory. This was different. With Rory their was a spark of passion, I'll admit. Now I felt a flame burning in my chest, my heart pounding almost uncontrollably. Will pulled away from my lips, his looking plump and inviting to kiss again.

"I've wanted to do that since you got here," he told me, and began kissing my cheek again, going down to my neck. I let slip a groan as he caressed my skin with his lips. He was strong, he held his hands firmly over my body as i pulled him closer by the waist. He looked back at me again, but it was my turn to initiate the kiss. I rolled him over so I was on top of him, my hair draped over my shoulder. I swung my leg over Will, feeling a short, sharp twinge of pain, but I quickly forgot it again. The events the night before made the position uncomfortable but I let it go. Nothing was more important to me right now than Will. I lowered my head as I caressed Will's cold skin with my gentle fingertips, delicately stroking him. Hunger was in his eyes as I leant closer to him, until my lips gently met his. He sucked on my lower lip as I kissed him gently. I had craved personal attention like this for years. I had never felt loved like this before. Will's hands ran down my back as we kissed, making my body tingle with excitement.

"We'd better stop," Will pulled me away.

"Why?" I asked childishly.

"Because you're turning me on," Will replied, picking me up off him and laying me back down beside him, "And I don't want to hurt you". I couldn't help but giggle like a child. He drew closer for one las kiss before getting up.

"It's the middle of the night," I complained, "Come back to bed".

"Can't," he responded, "Since Rory could return anytime we have been told to alter sleep patterns. If he's going to come back it'll be when we are most vulnerable".

"Sleeping," I concluded. I sat up on the bed as Will quickly went into the bathroom. I took in a deep sigh. I looked around the room, and approached the window. I carefully drew back the curtain to look at the beautiful moonlight. I stood deep in thought as I stared aimlessly out of the window. I felt complete. It felt like something inside me had swelled. I continued to stare out of the window when a pair of warm arms wrapped around me.

"Hello again beautiful," Will whispered delicately in my ear, "We need to visit my father".

"What about?" I asked.

"Well, us," he paused, "And capturing Rory," he replied. My heart sunk at the mentioning of his name. I turned to face the warm arms from the embrace and buried my head in Will's chest.

"You'd better get dressed," Will suggested. I let go of him and walked out towards the door, and gave him a little wave and kiss before going out of the door to my room. Butterflies raced around my body as I changed. Will is nothing like Rory. Rory is nothing to me, and when we capture him, I'm going to prove it.
