Lisa took off his thick, large coat and placed it over her shoulders. He furrowed his brows in heartache. "It's cold at night. Don't catch a chill."
His coat was large and still carried his heat. Both her body and heart instantly felt warmed up. "I'm not cold."
He thoughtfully guided her towards the couch, as though his heart was hurting for his most cherished person in this world.
Butler Zhao Cheng held both his phones in his hands.
Lisa took them from him. He kept his work-use phone in his phone and unlocked the private one with his fingerprint. He began reading the messages in an orderly manner.
As expected, Jennie saw that all the messages she had sent him earlier were unread.
He tapped on their conversation and saw the first message from her: [A bastard who isn't even suited to hold my shoes...]
She glanced at it from the side. His expression had abruptly turned dark.
"I'm a bastard, en?" His sharp, cold eyes landed on her.
Jennie instantly shivered from his freezing cold gaze. She smiled. "Hehe... I didn't say that."
He then scrolled down to see: [That's Kai. Or do you think he is suited to hold your shoes?]
She had mischievously written that Kai was the person who was not suited to even hold his shoes.
Lisa's gloomy expression vanished instantly. He continued to read the next message.
[I'm not trying to protect my body. My period is here. In fact, now that you're back, I also wish to.... By the way, you took charge of the situation to clarify my name, but I'm not angry about it. I'm very thankful. Earlier, when you gave the speech at the event, you were really charming.]
It turned out she was willing to declare herself as his fiancée.
She even wrote that he was charming...
The words left Lisa's lips twitching in joy.
Furthermore, in the third message, she wrote that she would compensate him well after her period.
All the despondency in his heart dissipated. He was emitting joy from within. He wrapped his arms around her and leaned close to her ear to whisper. "You didn't write clearly in your message. What do you also wish for?"
To roll in the bed with you, ah.
She responded this way internally but appeared proper on the outside. "Nothing much."
The ambiguous seduction in his cold, heavy voice could not be concealed. "You said that you'll compensate me in a few days."
At this moment, Bambam seemed to have appeared from nowhere. He bowed respectfully and peeked at the phone that his boss was holding. He carefully said, "Boss, you were looking for me?"
Lisa seemed to be in a good mood. Could it be that he was not angry, and instead acknowledged that Bambam's words made sense?
He had already said it. How could Jennie, the ugly woman, be suitable for his great boss?
He wondered how his boss had swallowed her down when he ate her up.
He had truly worried for nothing all this time. If he had known that the video would be useless, he would not have feared this for so long.
Jennie intentionally reminded Lisa with a dark expression. "WeChat. You haven't seen the video that I sent you."
"What? Boss hasn't seen the video yet..." Bambam assumed he had escaped a trap and was about to relax.
However, upon hearing this, he immediately became wary. "Boss, Miss Kim sent you a rather meaningless video. I think it's best if you don't watch it. Just delete. Really, there's nothing much to see..."
Lisa glared at him coldly. His sharp eyes frightened Bambam into silence immediately.
He tapped on his phone screen and opened the video that Jennie had sent him. The video immediately began playing.
"It has only been twenty minutes since Boss carried you into his room... It's clear he didn't touch you. He must have asked you to scram..."
